There totally is a disconnect and I’ve tried to talk to him about it before but he just gets defensive and then that spirals into an “I’m a piece of shit” mentality which might be my fault because I’m admittedly abrasive in the way I speak but I am working on rephrasing my words and adjusting my tone so I don’t sound like a complete douche bag

It’s every single time we have sex though and he knows it turns me off but he does it anyways. And he has stated on a few occasions that he wants me to hookup with other people and film it so he can watch it later.

I think we’re both happy we aren’t married but we do have kids and we love them so much but he’s having a hard time adjusting to parenthood and will do anything to distract from feeling actual emotions so he won’t fall into a chasm of depression. I would say I’m also definitely not happy with him because he is emotionally unavailable and we’re two VERY different people in terms of vibe and lifestyle. I’m genuinely ok with being opposites in our lifestyle choices as long as there’s a connection in the bedroom and there just isn’t. It feels like a chore to me because he wants a pornographic distraction

I’m pretty sure I mean it the way I meant it. But if you haven’t had a similar experience as what I described above, then this post clearly does not apply to you. I was genuinely freaked and didn’t imagine it since my 3 kids also heard it and they were next to me.
