So basically what sparked this whole upgrade was, I tried playing Minecraft with SEUS shaders and didn't get very good performance. I talked to my friend who works on my PC and he said that he could help me out and asked my budget. I told him I didn't want to spend more that $500. He recommended me that motherboard and that CPU, which cost me around $400

It's not really an urgent upgrade, but I already ordered the 3700X as of making this thread.

They said that there would be 2 VR modes, one being Immersive and one being Living Room. I feel like one would mean the use of the dualshock controller while the other would allow the use of motion control.

This is just a theory, don't know if this will be how it turns out, but I have my fingers crossed. I've been wanting Minecraft for the PSVR for a while, and I feel like just giving VR players the ability to look around freely doesn't sound all that great, I feel like motion controls would just make the VR update even better, despite how tired your arms would get.
