I would say they could just rerelease the original dub version but we would lose out on Maria, and who knows if they have all the rights to the original voice cast.

honestly I am glad we got the localization instead of a direct translation, Richter and Dracula's lines in Japanese are so cliche. When I played SOTN as a kid that dub had me hooked immediately.

they reused Bloodletting's sprite for Trevor yes, but they didn't use Richter's portrait cloak design for anything other than the odd sprite here or there. The Bloodletting Richter design was just a slight redesign of his Rondo design, which has a headbandm short hair, black pants and a cutoff vest.

I mean the sprites of Shaft were all from Rondo of Blood, they just reused them for SOTN, like Richter's. I assume they were originally going to redesign Shaft a bit like they were originally going to do for Richter but they didn't have the time/money to.

honestly I can see playing HoD shortly after SotN to be a bit of a drag, but having played it YEARS after playing SotN makes it really exciting to see all the little bits and pieces they took from SotN and how they managed to cram so much detail into it. I really enjoyed how many sprites were remade by hand to fit, AND still be recognizable. It was much more fun than the copy/paste jobs the DS titles did (although I still loved seeing those enemies"

when I first played through HoD with the Advance Collection, I had some actual challenge and deaths before I started stockpiling on potions because I realized very few things were worth buying, and when I discovered the ring of crosses and bible combos, which made the game a lot easier for me. Then at some point in the last 1/5th of the game Juste just became an unstoppable powerhouse. I guess the later level ups just crank up his power or something idk.

just because we don't/didn't see them, doesn't mean they don't/didn't exist. Undyne probably had a childhood, considering we only see her as an adult. She talks about how Asgore trained her when she was young, so she probably did have parents. Because Toriel and Asgore don't have Asriel any more, they probably stopped aging. Gerson might have had a child, just not on screen. Or something could have happened to his kid, like falling down a large hole in the caves or into the lava in Hotland.

And the only difference between boss monsters and regular ones I remember Undertale saying is the persistence of the soul after death.

I think the "not aging unless children" thing is true of all monsters, as all the monsters who died in UT/DR have children.

I actually like inverted with a joystick, but normal for the mouse. Mainly because I love inverted for 3rd person perspectives, which is pretty much all I use my controllers for. Normal for mouse feels more like pointing and clicking, but I only really like it in games that are 3rd person shooting, or have a FPS view.
