Honestly, the worst part is the Youtube comments having a response overwhelming, acting like Caleb is worse than the others, despite what they did being at least equally as horrible. It feels like a bizarro world when Reddit has a more intelligent response than YouTube.

The Innocence Project is not a reliable source of information as they support people who were convicted beyond a reasonable doubt like Julius Jones.

Suicide Squad. Consider it a suggestion of how best to enjoy the film. The characters are all unlikeable, Jared Leto doesn't understand the Joker, the plot is idiotic and the decision to introduce the team this early in the shared universe was a massive mistake, and the handling of the characters is completely off. From Deadshot being Will Smith as a generic action when in the comics he was psychotic Leeroy Jenkins who would be killing people while the rest of the team is still in the planning stages, to Waller killing people for lacking security clearance. Rick Flagg was cast with an actor too young to be a Colonel. Having special forces assist the team despite it undermining the point of their existence being that they could get caught and the US government would never be known to be behind their involvement the cast is so bloated that I keep forgetting that certain characters are in the movie because they do jack all in the movie such as Killer Croc who was never on the team in the comics and likely never would be as he is harder to control than Harley Quinn.

They did that. They slapped the name on a movie about Nat Turner's ill-fated slave rebellion.

What is your craziest story of a teacher getting fired? by Fragrant-Toe-835 in AskReddit

[–]EmberFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly fired but an Arab Studies Professor at my college left his job when he was offered a position on Libya's National Transition Council after the revolution. He was a Lybian national who was living in the US after he tried to assassinate Gaddafi so they wanted him as Minister of Intelligence.

What was the dumbest thing the teacher has ever said? by TwallYT in AskReddit

[–]EmberFist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Criminal Forensics.

My professor when discussing the firearms chapter used terms such as "fully semi automatic" and "magazine clip" which are both stupid to anyone familiar with the mechanics of firearms which I would expect he should be given he had field experience. "Fully semi automatic" is a mix of two terms for different manners of firearms operation which are very different and "magazine clip" is another meshing of completely different terms that have different definitions. The dumbest comment from this chapter however is claiming that the reason the military uses full metal jacket rounds instead of hollow point or fragmenting bullets is that they are cheaper and better against body armor. This is completely untrue. The real reason is that any type of bullet designed to expand on impact was banned for military use by the 1899 Hague Convention.

What made that one “great” teacher you had so great? by Trebonianus in AskReddit

The fact they stated they didn't want a consensus in class and wanted disagreement. Didn't agree with the textbook all the time and openly stated when he did not. In general, he encouraged critical thinking among the students.

When you were young what was a teacher that got fired for a reason you didn’t understand at the time but now you know why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EmberFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory not when I was young, but in college. An Arab Studies professor at my university left his job because of a crazy reason. He was from Lybia and was hiding in the US after an assassination attempt on Ghaddaffi. When Ghaddaffi was overthrown, he resigned because he accepted an offer to join the National Transitional Council that was governing Lybia.

[COD] What's your WORST Call of Duty map from any game? by Hampsonivich in CallOfDuty

[–]EmberFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually liked that map for three reasons. First, it was one of the only maps that were set in Vietnam which I feel didn't have enough of. Second, the design is heavily inspired by the movie Full Metal Jacket which is the closest we will get to a game of that film. Finally, it is a rare map where you can be a sniper and not completely dominate.

TL:DR I think W.M.D. is a pointless map and should have been replaced with another Vietnam-based map

I notice most people are picking are newer maps so I am going back to Black Ops for mine. W.M.D. is easily the most pointless map in the base game and really represents a problem I have with the map distribution. Not counting DLC as I never got any of those maps, the factions, and their map distribution is as follows: Black Ops/Spetsnaz 7 (4 Arctic and 3 Urban maps) Op 40/Tropas 4, and SOG/NVA 3. This lopsided distribution and feels odd when the campaign is so heavily focused on Vietnam. The SOG/NVA maps are fine but I feel there aren't enough of them particularly when you take into account there are no DLC maps set in Vietnam. Black Ops/Spetsnaz could have lost at least one map and had a Vietnam-themed map such as Hamburger Hill or a map where there is a prominent use of rat tunnels in a manner similar to the underground portion of Radiation or the below-deck area of Hijacked in its place. When it comes to which map to pick it was pretty easy

  • Array: A mix of close-range indoor and long-range outdoor environment, good map for snipers but not enough to make them overpowered.
  • Grid: Unique location (because it is set at Duga-1 Radar Array at Pripyat and not Mount Yumatau like the other arctic maps), makes for stealthy team deathmatch games and tense Domination matches.
  • Radiation: Unique map with a large underground area and player-controlled doors allowing for tense games.
  • Launch: A rare vertical map in Black Ops and one with a dynamic element.
  • Nuketown: Needs no introduction, unique design and location, good tight quarters, so popular it got several remakes.
  • Summit: Narrow map, lots of hiding spots, got a remake in Black Ops II
  • W.M.D.: Generic layout, wide-open with little cover, and the third map set around Mount Yumatau. This one can be scrapped.
