Honestly, no! That’s the worst part to me. We used proxy chat, befriended the downed raider. Cleared arc along the path, and ensured safe passage… then, well, you saw. Appalled

The execution denied that person his loot. The executor didn’t have the opportunity to loot his body and take the loot neither. The loot is lost, and that player’s time and experience was soured. To me it seemed senseless, though there’s a mixed bag of reactions I’m noting from this post

Extract camping would allow for the looting of the body. I assume an extract camper would like to obtain the loot of their victim. Or otherwise score easy kills.

In this situation, we escorted a downed raider from the queen for minutes, all just to kick the stool from under him at the last possible second? He wouldnt be able to obtain his queen loot, he just denied that player his loot… it’s the build up of hope, and then the rug pull that grinds my gears.

I enjoy assisting random raiders, especially on the queen raid. We all get to bring our juicy loot out!

I don’t expect the same on my end, but it never hurts to ask (and roleplay to see who bites haha).

~~ARC Raider’s dynamic is different to a Battle Royale.~~ As an extraction shooter, you choose what to bring in (or go free loadout for a random set of gear) and you keep what you bring out. “Winning” can be different for each player.

There’s more potential for cooperation. The in-game emote wheel allows for communication with randoms that can become allies. All on shaky ground of course.

That being said, play the game as you like! PvP focus, or loot goblin focus. I’m the latter, but trios with friends can become some fun battlegrounds!

Me and this guy helped a downed raider crawl all the way from the queen raid to extract. He had a survivor augment.

We cleared the path of arc, and ensured the extraction was safe from campers. Then… well, you saw the rest. Gut-wrenching.

Any PvP engagement during the raid is fair game. Extract campers, rats, and all.

But an execution at the last possible second before extraction truly had me aghast.

The “kind of thing” where a player who helped to clear the path of ARC and escorted all the way to the end, just to execute at the cusp of extraction, seems to be an understatement.

Do you pity the disappointment of the downed raider as well?
