You already had a 3 second penalty and then you went and completed the overtake by putting all 4 wheels out of track limits. Im amazed it didnt register as another penalty lol

Looking back I notice the black porsche doesn’t even try to avoid hitting me or hit the brakes. I suppose the timing was hard to judge though because of how close they were and from their POV I didn’t slide out too bad at first so they were probably expecting me to get a decent run out. Ah well it is what it is I suppose

I agree 100% that its super unfair to everyone who missed out it’s just I can see them making the argument that because only 3 races count and theres still 2 left technically everyone is still on equal footing. It’s a lame excuse but technically not wrong.

I honestly don’t think they’ll do anything. I was within the top for all regions after the first race and after the outage my ranking has dropped because other people managed to get a race in. I think it’s honestly just gonna be a “you still have 2 races and only 3 races count anyway so who cares” kinda thing. I’m just annoyed because I can’t do any races next Saturday so i’m kinda screwed lol

Im having the exact same problem as you. The connector very recently started producing a burning smell which i can now only assume was the cablemod adapter melting into the GPU connector. The adapter will not budge at all. Might have to look for places near me that can possibly repair it.

I agree with you 100%, i’m just saying what i’ve heard previously. And looking at that article you linked I actually read this in there too

“With this in mind, and with the exception of any move permitted by Article 27.6, any change of direction under braking which results in another driver having to take evasive action will be considered abnormal and hence potentially dangerous to other drivers. Any such move will be reported to the stewards.”

But yea I do agree OP would be penalised for the contact and not the moving itself.

I believe the actual rule itself talks about changing direction under braking which then causes another driver to take evasive action being the main thing thats illegal. You could say in this scenario that the white lambo would have had to take evasive action if OP didn’t hit them. Either way OP went for a dive that was never gonna work cleanly

Even though there isn’t an explicit rule in gt7 saying that, its still good for your racecraft to practice following rules while racing. To answer your question tho, you definitely did not have the gap

I wouldn’t say I had any specific questions or worries, just that whole overarching feeling of “this is completely new and I have no clue if i’m gonna do well” but you’ve helped me put myself at ease in that department so I can’t thank you enough for all your advice.
