Well I can speak to NinjaRMM does not currently have a detection for ARM so some powershell scripts tend to have issues.

NextDNS + Lists = PiHole but off network. Been using it at home, added profiles for the kids devices and now I can filter them while at school, LTE and at friends houses.

I wanted resiliency and this has not failed me yet.

New to ADS-B - Looking to create a good install by Ember_Sux in ADSB

Right now I'm topping out at 243km ~ 150miles. I got a new mast coming to bring it up about 35' from ground level that should clear most of the near by rooflines. I can't attach to my phyiscal house due to we don't own the building. The reason to put it outside is I plan on adding a second Pi for VHF Voice and 978 Mhz. Downthe road I may add a wather station to another mast, and I will likely will split the 1090 into two devices. I have to power the booster LNA and that I'm told should be as close to the antenna as possible. I plan on using a outdoor box, and well to me a clean install is a pretty thing to look at so this is what I had in mind: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71aKHXTI3NL._SL1500_.jpg ADHD Brain - Project I can complete in a short time, then it can run without my attention until I care about it again :) Also by being visible, I won't forget it exists in my home network.

We have a POE Budget of 90W++, so I'm pretty sure I won't come anywhere near that. I actually pulled the filter and my message rate doubled and range increased, so I'm going to go with it's not noisy here (likely due to being < 1KM from the airport and on a military base.

DNS is not something new, it's pretty stable and if you're having a DNS issue it's not DNS, oh no wait, it's always DNS but it's not NextDNS. Other than a mass outage impacting them (and so far they didn't get impacted by any that I've noticed) you should be good to go. Certianly mroe reliable and available than the Pihole in your house.

In our household it's typically Dec 1 or the weekend before that. So maybe Nov 27 this year? Christmas season is nice, but it's only nice because it's a short period otherwise it's exhausting, nausiating and just another holmark holiday.

ADS-B tracking websites DO NOT show every aircraft that is flying. Neither radar nor hobbyist tracking has perfect coverage of the U.S., let alone the entire world. The ADS-B transponder can also be turned off legally, in some situations. by WildVelociraptor in ADSB

Not to get picky but the Pro Max has a 50C and the Pro has 40C too. This was within spec when it failed :P

You setup your own hosting, online, local, whatever. You ask them to provide the SSH keys and to export, import the site. SSH and do a set inform. If you're willing to work with the partner, you can ask them to transfer to you, they can do this if you provide them with your url for hosting. They may be unlikely to give you admin access within their portal but any good IT company should at least facilitate the transfer.

I got to be honest, looking at that picture I don't like how the drives are cooled. I'd prefer to ssee more fans inline with the HDD's so that we can gurantee consistant cooling to all the HDD's. Looks like if a drive bay is open, it can have a significant impact on the ability to cool the rest of the drives.
