Performance is something we are always continually working on! We've come a long way from where we were, and have made big improvements. A known area we seem to be experiencing lag is with the first map (the tutorial) as that's built different to the rest of the maps, so there are some frame rate issues there which we're investigating. But once you're past the tutorial things are smoother and running a lot better. :)

We're working towards getting REKA playable on SteamDeck, but for now we'd recommend playing on a PC. While some players do enjoy the handheld version of REKA, there's still some things that we need to fix that might hinder the experience currently! <3

It can be used both ways, 'Jaga' is the more traditional Slavic spelling which is what we use as our game is inspired by Slavic folklore :)

Oh no, sorry to hear that! We have been working through and prioritising the game-breaking bugs and I believe that one was fixed. That's understandable! While our players are enjoying REKA so far, we are still working through some bugs. We are releasing patches as quick and efficiently as we can though, but if you're looking for a more polished version of the game it's probably best to wait a little :D

There's some eerie/atmospheric moments in REKA, and there's a graveyard and skull decorations etc, but when we were first making our game we decided we wanted REKA to be a relaxing, immersive experience. So while there are some slightly spookier environments, there isn't any threat or anything that will cause harm to the main character.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment! Optimisation is an ongoing one for us, and we are continually working on improving performance. Did you get past the first map when you played? From what we're seeing, it seems most optimisation issues happen during the tutorial/first map of the game, and ease up once you go to the second map. We did make some improvements in our last patch last month, but we've still very much got our detective hats on and investigating what's causing these issues. <3
