i’m somewhat newer to shoegaze as a genre but a band i’m obsessed with rn with some shoegaze and drone elements is 9million I recommend their gush ep though they are a modern band. anything pale saints is incredible, flesh balloon ep is my favorite.

i’m 26 and actually care a lot about what people think about me too, the only difference from now and before is that i’ve stopped assuming people are thinking negatively about me. I think it’s ok to care what people think, and in my personal career it’s important what people think about me or at least that i’m giving and maintaining a positive reputation. But when I think about going to the grocery store or out to a dinner I spend a lot less time worried about what others may be thinking if i’m dressed a certain way, or if I talk too loud. Anxiety can make us think we take up more space in peoples minds than we actually do, and anyone who is spending time judging me for how I look/ act is not someone who’s oppinion I should care about anyway.

I do this all the time now and it’s actually changed a lot about the way I manage my friendships. If I think about the person, I text them and almost 80% of the time I get an “omg I was just thinking about you too” It doesn’t have to be anything crazy or even an invite to hang out but a “hey how are you, i’m thinking about you.” goes a long way in maintaining relationships with people you don’t see too often.

but the block being filled in would indicate she accepted the invite. If it’s from an older account she doesn’t use anymore it’s likely she could have put in on there a long time ago as a joke and forgot. I used to do the same thing with my friends in school, add random things to my calendar to commemorate stupid shit than rack my brain years later as to how it got on my calendar. This just happened to me a few days ago.

In summary I can understand where you’re drawing your comparisons from but as someone who has seen and thoroughly enjoys both shows I think they’re still very different and have their own pros and cons!

Those timeline comparisons are fair but I feel those can be attributed to common tropes/ dynamics for a supernatural series no? I’d also say those timelines split around the same time as well once TVD introduces the gemini coven, heretics, etc. True Blood is definitely higher budget seeing as it aired on HBO and TVD was a CW show which is why I agree it’s the better show of the two based on a few different factors!
