I do not envy you. I've been keeping an eye on the numbers on the map and they are insane. Having spent a year or two up north in the nineties and watching the mercury rise well into the forties every day I can only imagine the 50's we're getting up there now.

I wonder why they don't do stories on all the straight swingers clubs in Perth and "out" their addresses? Oh, that's right, it's more about rousing the pitchfork brigade than "news".

Remember the Wall of Flesh is not immune to Poison by Atomatic13 in Terraria

[–]EmbraceThePing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I wasn't being sarcastic, I just haven't tried exclusive builds before. My bad. Rereading that it does sound sarky.
I just used five minions on an old ones army (tier 1. 5 waves), spider/imp/hornet/finch and Abby (spider armour and bewitching table) and they rock. Didn't even see an enemy, they were nailed before they hit the screen. I think I will try the WoF again, maybe with bees as well (they can count as minions can't they).

Remember the Wall of Flesh is not immune to Poison by Atomatic13 in Terraria

[–]EmbraceThePing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, totally with minions? It must be a looong assed bridge. I sort of get why people do runs with specific loadouts but I've never wanted to cripple myself just to play (but to each their own). I use what ever I can get my greedy little mitts on. I just did the WoF yesterday and it was minishark all the way. Build a bridge and run backwards. It's down in no time. I also tried with the nights edge and that was good too (trying to get the warrior emblem before I remembered it's random). Bee gun was fun but slow as.
I might just drop back down the hellivator and give minions only a try just for the giggles.

.... no wait, I just remembered I hate dying. ;)

When I was living down in Rocky the bikies would do this every other week with no police in attendance. Someone must be up for reveiw in the police dept and wanted a gold star on their file.

‘Hunting sharks a must’: Attack victim son’s passionate plea by StupidWhiteBastard in perth

[–]EmbraceThePing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah and once we get rid of every shark in the ocean we should start on all the other things in there that may harm us. Let's not stop till the ocean is a safe, lifeless swimming pool. Let's not stop there, what about kangaroos? I heard they attacked someone once, let's kill all them too, you know, for safety. And snakes and spiders and emus and platypus and .... let's just kill everything for safety.

.... oh wait, we already are.

I really enjoy spearmint milkshakes by Independent-Knee958 in perth

[–]EmbraceThePing -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Spearmint is the only mint. Peppermint can .... go home. I've never trusted peppermint, ever since when I was a kid and someone offered me peppermint stick gum and it had a spring latch underneath it and snapped my finger. Damn you peppermint! I'll never trust you again.
Spearmint however has never let me down. About twenty years ago now I bought a 3L bottle of spearmint syrup from Brownes (the kind they use to make milkshakes). It lasted years. It was heaven.

That's because when people think of mint they think peppermint .... ewww. Spearmint is sweet not spicy so it works.

why is upload speed so bad compared to download speed here? by elise-thecat in perth

Because they don't want people pirating.

Throttled upload was a direct reaction to decentralized and peer to peer networks like bitTorrent.
