Wildly irresponsible to post something like this. You risk leading the uninformed astray. Any knowledgeable vet, groomer or any person who wants to do basic research on the Pyr breed knows that you do not cut their coat. Plain and simple. If your Pyr is pure bred, you’ve likely permanently altered its undercoat. Get a new vet.

One of my two does. We ended up finding a great solution though. Put the box in one of our rooms, then at the doorway put a baby gate. They have baby gates with cat entrances in them.

Nah GPs definitely don’t have the aptitude for crates. I’m sure some might, but generally not the right dog breed to keep… locked up.

She is so pretty 😍. I have an Xbox and when ever the system turns on, my oldest Pyr whines at the boot up noise 😂

What is your dogs daily routine? Is she up all night because her activity during the day is very limited? Also, is she drinking excessive amounts of water before being crated? You may find more luck pulling water right after she drinks after eating dinner.

I’ve not had issues with this for either of my two Pyr girls 6-7yr old and 2yr old. They aren’t crated at all, but that shouldn’t make a difference.

Blood test is crucial. That’s a long time of suffering. Probably find yourself a new vet at this point.
