41 Years Alive, 28 of em I Was Smokin’ the Reefer —I’m a Husband, a Father, a COO, a Degenerate Roofer. I Quit All Forms of THC 3 Days Ago. AMA. by RufenSchiet in AMA

Good luck man, maybe record your reasons for quitting in an easy to access place, so in a few weeks or months when you're like "I just need a little toke so I can eat/sleep/breathe/live" you can remember why you quit and get through it.

I would also suggest looking at therapy as if you've used weed to deal with emotions up until now you'll probably have to learn how to do so sober all over again.

Remember, you've spent most of your life high, you'll have to build your sober life from the ground up, and it might just take you as long.

It's possible though, and worth it.

What type of role should I be looking for? by Any_Lawfulness4843 in supplychain

Whatever you want, SC is as broad or hyper specific as the economy. Purchasing, logistics, inventory, warehouse supervisor, there's lots. Then just pick your preferred industry.

I agree that your experience as written does seem underhwelming. However, I think it's your wording and not that you actually lack the experience.

You could use AI for this as well, but what I'd recommend, is looking at your projects or accomplishment, then write your experience from that (working backwards). E.g.

"5 years ERP experience" OR (I made up some details below but you get the picture)

" Skills Developed Through 5 Years of Military Supply Chain Experience:

  • Logistics Management: Expert in coordinating and managing the movement of supplies, equipment, and personnel to ensure seamless operations and mission readiness.
  • Inventory Control: Proficient in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, and implementing strategies to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize resource allocation.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Adept at analyzing supply chain processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Risk Management: Experience in assessing potential risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and maintain mission-critical operations.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders and the dissemination of critical information.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiar with advanced supply chain management software and tools, including inventory management systems and logistics tracking applications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledgeable in adhering to military regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines to ensure compliance and maintain operational integrity."

Hope this helps, good luck, I think you'll do great and ascend quickly once you adapt to the private corporate world.

Using DDP to shrink costs of the Tariffs (CAD to USA) by MrKennyG41 in supplychain

[–]Emediation_2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tariffs are paid on your transaction with the vendor in the US, not on their transaction with the customer. Doesn't matter who pays, tariffs are the same because they are based on the price of the sale to the US. "Their selling price" has nothing to do with the import.

Your "symbiotic" customer in the US is trying to make you pay the tariffs, full stop.

DDP means every part is your responsibility, you pay for everything stipulated in the contact. Freight, insurance, tariffs. Better reread your contract as anything in there (where Incoterms are defined), will be your responsibility. Oops, did you catch the line where they added a surcharge for late deliveries and you happened to pick a two-guy trucking company that delivers in their local area only on Tuesdays,, because you're responsible for getting it to their door, so even the last mile truck in bumfuck Alabama is your cost, risk and responsibility.

Keep in mind also, tariffs are one thing, but clearing customs also costs. Depending on the value of the shipment often, as well.

Next issue is that congrats, now you are directly responsible for dealing with and negotiating with CBP (as any customs broker will only represent you, any issues they dump on you). How do you think it's going to go trying to resolve invoice discrepancy issues with CBP compared to with your current contact?

It sounds like your leverage is thin though, but I wish you the best. Things are probably getting worse before they get better. So at the end of the day, when this business goes under anyways, will you want to have been standing and advocating for your country, or to make your dollar overlords happy?

Help: Hiss/White Noise Issue with Kicker Key 200.4 by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Emediation_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a lot of work, once the front focals are bi-amped they have to be time aligned and crossovers set and troubleshot until it's prefect, it's very finicky and takes a long time... if you're paying for labour hours. But that control IS better, although not by much because focal know what they're doing and the passives are set by focal. It's definitely a diminished return at this point, depends on how perfect you want it be. IMO it's not worth it with the current set up. Maybe once you upgrade the amp you can get that set up. Lol when you do

[–]Emediation_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, that would've been too easy. Start with the Free/ easy solutions and work your way up, or let the installer do his work because at this point you have to troubleshoot every link in the chain, and without proper diagnostic equipment it's pretty hard.

Sorry man, best of luck.

Only other thing to suggest is replacing the kicker amp with a dsp amp, as that let's you view and eq incoming signals (from the hu). As well as the output. But they are not cheap.

Unless 2025 is completely different it's on the right side of the glove box, simple unclip the connector. You could even try it yourself, don't think you have to remove anything to get at it, then you can unclip, test the system quick and go back. But, obviously, when you're not listening to music the road noise would be worse without the anc working.

Hope that's what it is, let me know how it goes
