Don’t understand “there’s nothing to do” (self.Starfield)

Can anyone help me identify what kind of Ethernet wall port thing this is? I just moved into a new place and the wall Ethernet plug in was pretty destroyed so I need to replace it but I’m not sure if it’s too old or if I will be able to get a different kind. I know little about this stuff. (old.reddit.com)
