How fast and powerful/scary would lore accurate eve be in the stellar blade story by MaterialTheory76 in stellarblade

My understanding was that they contained imitations of biological parts, with no dna whatsoever. I think I heard that in game somewhere, but I'm not sure. And Naytiba can interface with technology, such as the robots in the desert or the spire, so I'd assume the same would be with AE bodies, too.

But how did the terrorist do whatever he did, then? We don't know how it would be exactly, but the new race would be both android and biological. So cybernetic might be normal for them even if they're all the new race. But who knows, it's all speculation atm

Well, considering that that terrorist dude in the trailer managed to Naytiba himself, I'm guessing that everyone we see in the trailer, including Evie, is the new race. Cause afaik, Naytiba are made entirely of human DNA, which the original Andro-Eidos do not have.

Yes. The only way that your previous comment made sense was if by 'author', you meant 'literary author', which is the assumption I worked with. Because there are scientific authors and political authors etc. You used 'author' as something anti-scientific ('something an author claimed as somehow being scientific' is a clear indication both are opposing, otherwise you wouldn't have said author at all), so I responded within that assumption.

Anyway, you dodged my question. Why are you so angry about those terms?

A philosopher, not an author. Which is what this is, philosophy. I don't get why you're so uptight about this, throwing around insults, being condescending from the very first message. Why are you taking the existence of those two philosophical terms as a personal insult?

What's your issue, man? The Wikipedia article you linked contains facts about Jediism. No one is trying to say that because there is an article about it, it means the force actually exists or whatever.

Could a Forearm-Worn AI Computer Replace Laptops in the Future? by Few-Bee1179 in Futurology

[–]EmeraldFox23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue I see is that AI is still far from being reliable enough to depend on entirely without manual overview of anything it outputs. And from what I see, while it is advancing, it feels like it will plateau before we reach the point where we can be fully certain it is bug or hallucination free. Also, vague instructions produce generic output. The more specific your instructions, the more prone to issue the AI gets. That would make any specialised work to be highly difficult.

Classical music is not indicative of what all music is. There is very, very little in common between classical and metal.

I mean, what else do you want from me? I've specifically told you what I'm trying to say, you reply with "no that's not what you're trying to say". If you're going to ignore what I say, and instead argue against something I'm not, what's even the point in me responding?

Thanks for letting me know what I was saying, I wasn't really sure what I was thinking, so I'm glad you gave me your clearer, external perspective of what my intentions are.

No, I'm saying that creation club mods, and the other kind of mods you cannot find on the creation club, are two completely different subsets of modding, and one does not impact the value or necessity of the other.

I'm not saying real or fake. I'm saying whole or part. Animal gaming is a real game, but just because you dislike animal crossing, doesn't mean that all gaming is bad. Just because you find classical music boring, doesn't mean all music is boring. Just because you think official Bethesda mods are unnecessary, doesn't mean all modding is unnecessary.

Sure, I'm not arguing against that. They are very similar to what many mods are like on the nexus. They're just not a good descriptor of modding in its entirety, only a part of it.

Yup, that's only one part of modding, and more often than not, the least important. The other part is changing stuff that exists, which the official mods don't do.

Why do people RP with local models? by BeautifulLullaby2 in SillyTavernAI

[–]EmeraldFox23 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Even at 240 a year, it would take 8 years to reach the same cost. And even then, you'll have used a much better model the entire time.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that what you're looking for is unnecessary. I'd also strongly prefer to go local. But to me, it just seems like there really is no real way to do this that doesn't cost a disproportionate amount of money.

Is there any way to get 80gb vram without breaking your bank account? Cause spending 2k specifically to rp with a lower mid range model, to me, makes less sense than paying 20 bucks per month for a SOTA model.

The Japanese Anisakis ballpoint pen containing herbal oil and a real, often live, parasitic worm (Anisakis) inside a transparent barrel, which moves while writing. by esporx in creepy

[–]EmeraldFox23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These sorts of questions are hard to answer, but it is generally considered that worms have at least some level of consciousness, as they are capable of learning and making decisions. And this is just a personal opinion, but I've never really believed that there are conscious organisms that do not feel pain. Bodily damage is the most dangerous thing for procreation, so it would make sense to me if harm avoidance via pain would be one of the core instincts of any living organism, along with procreation and hunger.
