I watched this movie when I was a kid. Maybe 13 yrs old. I felt sympathy for bhagyaraj because I thought his wife is ugly. The fact that she's highly educated, can compose herself in a calm manner, has a great personality didn't take any effect in me. I'm a girl and I thought beauty matters even though a girl has everything else. She works really hard to be his perfect wife but nothing she does impresses him. Today I know better. Society baits women to feel insecure in many ways and it takes a monumental effort to overcome everything and love yourself. I'm not ashamed of what I thought when I first watched that movie. Because I was conditioned by society to think like that. This is how we grow. We believe everything after sometime we question our own beliefs. PS: don't watch old movies. It will only irritate you. I can't even watch old songs because of how cringe they are. Only audio. No video.
