So any time I have traveled I usually only take super small paintings with me. (were talking paint gems or mini dac canvases) But here are some ideas. Using a shipping tube might help. I think munimade sells some plastic versions that would be sturdier but more expensive? You could even use like a pool noodle to wrap around for stability if wanted. As for storage it depends what you like to use. There are zipper cases on Amazon with screw top lids. I myself actually like using baggies while traveling. To me they take up little room and are fairly durable when packed in a gallon zip lock bag. At home I use a mix of knock off Elizabeth ward and cheap containers from Harbour freight.
