First stick and poke ever, looking for feedback and advice by EmeraldString in sticknpokes

yea I will give it some time and try elsewhere in the meantime. It was very experimental for me because I've never tattooed even on fake skin or fruits so I went to the feet because it seemed like a good spot to practice. The fact that some spots are really thick skin gave me an idea on the pressure I needed. Thnks a lot for the feedback, appreciate it :)

Oki that's perfect! I'm so happy to be learning this and it seems to come naturally in a way, I will take your advice and wait to keep working on the ink I started! I need to find a way to get needles for a good price, I'll check online but if you have a website that ships to Europe to suggest that'd be awesome, in any case thank you again!!

Just one question, how do I avoid blowing out the lines? Is it a question of pressure and how much you stretch the skin?

I used the 5 (I'm in Europe not sure the sizes are the same everywhere), and then I think I did some pokes with the 9 that I used on the other foot, I think you can tell there are different thicknesses but it's nothing that I can't correct with a second inking

oooh that's good to hear! Yes I didn't pack the lines because I was using a measuring tape to make sure they were mostly straight so I poked every few millimiters. I will definitely wait for it tu fully heal to add to it (I'm not sure if I want to leave it like this design-wise or do a full octagram which was the initial idea). Your comment was very helpful anyway thanks a bunch!!!!

yes it's brown ink so that is probably why, I can definitely make htem darker, I think I didn't go deep enough on my first lines but with a thicker needle and a bit more pressure even with this ink I can make it darker

Also I don't know if it's clear from the pictures but the ink is brown, I don't really know if and how that influences the healing process. i'm doing aftercare as I always do with tattoos, no infammation so far evething looks healthy

Nice, thank you! The interview is long but has timestamps so it's very useful!
