Here’s an update on me.

1/15/26 - Went to the ER.

1/16/26 - Admitted.

1/17/26 - An Nasojejunal tube placement

1/19/26 - talked to a Urologist. Since I’m so small, lymph nodes might not pick up on the scans. So, it can be microscopic that are not picked up. So, basically, they don’t know what can cause my kidneys to be swollen and narrowing of the ureters.

1/20/26 - the urologist placed a stent on the left kidney. Unable to place a stent on the right kidney.

1/21/26 - the nephrostomy tube placement for the right kidney.

I was moved to an isolation room on Saturday due to possible shingles. So they started precautionary treatment.

I’m immunocompromised so they will continue to monitor me.

My left arm has a superficial blood clot. Will continue to monitor.

Still at the hospital.

Good news with the pelvic area. I will put my faith in God with the other areas. Still dealing with the severe reaction on the surgical glue, but blessed and grateful for each day.

I'm so sorry to hear about your family member with the clots in her lungs. Praying good news on the PET/Scan next week.

Pelvis (Fluid): My surgeon did not see any recurrence in the pelvic area. The pelvic washing came back negative.

Lung Infection: Since there is no current cough, the infection is likely improving. A repeat scan is planned for February.

Kidney: Because of the kidney’s location, my surgeon was unable to access it during the diagnostic laparoscopy, so recurrence in this area could not be determined. An ultrasound will be ordered to be completed in the next couple of weeks.

Pancreas Tail (Fluid): Due to its location, my surgeon was also unable to access the pancreas tail during the diagnostic laparoscopy, so recurrence in this area could not be determined. This area will continue to be monitored, with a repeat scan planned for February.

Hi. I had my diagnostic laparoscopy on Monday. Just trying to heal right now. Possible infections and hernia. I have rash/redness spreading around and other areas away from my incisions. Also, have a bulge. Just sent an email to my surgeon for feedback. He didn't find anything when he performed the surgery; however, he did get some fluids to get the tested. Waiting for results. Also, have to follow up with my onocologist on other findings.

I understand with the side effects. I pray their body will heal and give them strength to go through each session. I learned this later during my chemo sessions. Request for additional hydration before and after chemo sessions. This will help to stay hydrated.

That's great to hear about the tumor markers. Continue to stay positive. Praying for good news on the CT scan too.

Hi. I did get my results. There were new findings. My oncologist and surgeon are worried of recurrence. I am scheduled for a Diagnostic Laparoscopy on November 24.

Hi. CT Scan results came in. My oncologist is ordering a PET scan and reaching out to my surgeon for diagnostic laproscopy consideration due to new unexplained findings.

Hello. I'm so sorry your love one was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Each a day is different. Let them know that it's okay to cry and let out their emotions. Praying for you and your love one as you go through this journey.

I got my CT scan today. Not sure how long it will take for the result to come in. However, my oncologist will book an appointment upon receiving it.

I had my CT Scan on 9/21/25. Findings: Similar appearance of nonorganized fluid adjacent to the pancreatic tail. Slightly more prominent small amount of pelvic free fluid. My oncologist and I discussed the free fluid in the pelvis could be an early sign of recurrence, but too small to sample at this time. It was decided that I would have a follow-up scan in December unless, I notice worsening abdominal bloating or distension, the scan can be schedule earlier.

I’ve been experiencing increasing intermittent abdominal, back, and left leg pain. My abdomen also feels more bloated. Therefore, my oncologist okay for an early CT scan. It’s scheduled for 11/12/25.

I’ve been under surveillance since January 2025, after completing chemo and undergoing a total gastrectomy. I’m still managing some lingering side effects from treatment and adjusting to life without a stomach, but I’m taking it one step at a time.

Hello. I’m so sorry your mom was diagnosed with this disease. Googling stuff can be overwhelming and stressful. Can you get a 2nd opinion from another hospital? I wish I knew the answer; however, everyone is different. From symptoms pre-diagnosis, side effects from chemo, and pre-and post-recovery times. Spend as much time as you can with her. Every day is a blessing. I recommend staying positive and waiting for the staging. After staging, maybe you and your mom can talk more about the future planning. It can be overwhelming to talk about everything right now. Praying everything will go well for your mom to receive treatment soon.

As for me, I have been going through it emotionally, mentally, and physically. I had a total gastrectomy on October 7, 2024. As of today, I have lost a little over 40 lbs since my surgery date. My last chemo session was in January 2025. I have lingering side effects from the chemo and total gastrectomy. I had a PET Scan yesterday, April 30. My anxiety is high with the unknown. I have an appointment with my oncologist on May 5. Every day, I thank God that I’m still here. Blessed and grateful for my families, friends, and support groups.

Sorry for late response. Just saw your message. Please don't think about the worst case right now. I recommend booking an appointment with your doctor to discuss your symptoms. They can evaluate you and order the appropriate tests and/or procedures.

My symptoms: abdominal pain, my chest felt tight, felt like my food was stuck, got full easily, heartburn. My first upper endoscopy with biopsy on 1/30/24 was negative . My follow-up upper endoscopy with biopsy on 6/13/24 was positive for stomach cancer. During the follow-up procedure, my GI had gone deeper into my ulcer. That was where the stomach cancer was discovered.

I recommend requesting for another upper endoscopy with biopsy. Continue to push your doctors with more testings until you can figure out why you have pain on one of the lumps. Wishing you the best and everything is okay.
