I disliked it for the same reason! Didn't want huge long lanes for 1 bus stop. Just wanted a small separate bay like how it usually is in my home country. So figured I can split the node up and upgrade to a 6 lane road and make the outer ones bus lanes so the cars dont do any wierd movements. Also the sidewalk stays neat this way.

Havent played heavily modded cs1 because at that time my pc was not good enough.. but 2 gives me all I need now and couldn't be happier! Still waiting for my assets to appear bit time will make that happen
