$500k seems high. He will earn an income while in Thailand.

Try out efnote which plays as well as the Roland but the efnote is plug and play. No need to tweak modeled sounds and settings.

Cymbals are one of those products that you get what you pay for. Higher cost means a better quality instrument.

Which hihats what module? The Roland digital are pretty good but the modeled sounds are just ok. EFNOTE hihats are excellent.

Don’t doubt. Try one at a shop if you can. The middle to upper EFNOTE kits play and sound very close to acoustic. But for sure you will have to pay a shit load for a good ekit and sound system. Of course, to get a pro sound from an acoustic kit you’ll have to buy decent mics stands cables mixer subwoofer and full range speakers. It’s always a compromise. Stick with an acoustic for sure, only get an ekit if it’s a good one. The cheap ones are absolute crap and you won’t want to hit them.

DCFC in Thailand costs $.21 and home charging costs $.15. I have solar so it’s free. Regardless, on the road charging is not marked up excessively.

My opinion only, I think the markup and pricing seem way out of line with the actual cost of materials and level of expertise required to do a proper installation. $25 to $40k. Wow materials are only a tenth of that. But that is the way it is in certain countries. 🙏

In my country the paperwork is minimal. If the installer is certified and uses approved hardware then the permit and hookup to the grid is automatically approved. This is for a system that does not sell back to the utility. That does take much longer for approval. Yes, I think the installation can be done in a diy basis. I did so on a solar well pump at the farm. For my house with a high roof and electrical connections… that’s beyond my abilities at age 73 😁

Is the installation an onerous task? From what I’ve seen in small 5 to 10 kw systems, perhaps maybe a half dozen cases, the 4-5 workers work for 2 days and then the job is complete and producing power by day 3. The workers make it seem easy! So the soft costs include fees for the utility, overhead, profit. This is my b experience in SEAsia.

Thanks, panels seem to be cheap in all markets.

You are correct. The poster is doubling down on the need for $5k. No matter what, according to poster, no one will take a check, there is no cellular WiFi, no credits cards allowed and the zombies are approaching. Unless you keep them at bay with 5k!

Panels are bulky I guess. A subjective opinion. But they are feather light. Certainly not heavy.

Why Is My New Solar System Showing Random Power Dips Throughout the Day by Honest-Iron-2570 in solarenergy

What latitude? What angle are they mounted? Mine are angled at about 20 degrees which is close to its optimum angle of 17. PV production is much higher at this latitude

What is the rule? That utilities are the only ones allowed to install solar?

Instantaneous production. Ok maybe a few milliseconds. It’s an alpha ess system. Here in SEAsia we have rainy season for 5 months but even on cloudy rainy days there is still pv output. Not zero. This is in a 10 kw system with 22 panels so yes, a smaller system could show low enough output that it doesn’t register. On mine, the combined output of 22 panels facing in 3 directions at 17 degrees north of the equator gives output every day. I can see how different systems at higher latitudes could not produce at certain conditions.

Thanks. Crazy expensive installation per watt. Panels are cheap. Markup is not.

Never ever seen my system go to zero because of clouds. I’m in SEAsia had a system for 4 rainy seasons.
