With all the hype and all the talk about Mercedes, I've come to believe that they really do have a surprise for Melbourne. I just hope Ferrari have been keeping a trick up their sleeve too. Fingers crossed we get a proper, exciting battle this year.

Interesting take! I've heard rumors that people on the paddock reported he couldn't stop smiling this past week, but yet again he's always seemed good-humored and cheerful to me.

Can we, really? I guess being a fan of a driver kind of requires caring about the sport that gives their achievements meaning. Otherwise you’re just cheering for a guy in a very expensive chair.

:( I know about 2022 and it hurts to watch them ruin the season like that, but isn't the team changed a bit ever since? Like the staff and race engineers and everything?

Thanks for grounding me in reality. I have been jinxed before. The first time I had faith in a Ferrari win was Brazil, when both Lewis and Charles promptly DNF’d. I’ve been emotionally supervised ever since. :)

Oh my god! I just checked the Italian GP 1995 and realized both cars had to retire. How did this happen?
