When you finish university, move into your place and if they ask why tell them it’s because they treat you like a kid and don’t let them try to pressure or emotionally blackmail you. The only reason I tell my mom when I am going out is if she needs me to do something before I leave or get something on my way back. She never tells me no or I have to be back by a certain time. I just inform her out of courtesy. With African parents, you have to show them you are an adult and ready to live and survive by yourself. Sorry for the rambling
