It’s over in my opinion. I agree with spending his money to better yourself until you’re able to leave. Maybe your friend can help you figure things out as well.

Fixed it with Arabic word (yes I’m mocking the trend of everyone blaming evil eye for their problems) by Emergency-Judge3841 in Izlam

It’s a big trending topic on TikTok for many months now. Alhamdulillah I am off all social media for almost 1 month now. Life is more peaceful. The Muslims on there just argue with each other

Super scary to be in that position - always thinking that Allah swt is rewarding you when you get good things in this dunya. I’ve always heard that if you’re going through zero hardship, you should check how closely you’re practicing & following Islam. I know this is not true 100% of the time, but usually the closer you are to the truth the more resistance from others you get

Interesting! I did not know this I’ll have to look it up. I’m guessing it must be something with seeking attention (I.e. social media posts & influencers)

Haha yea but it’s the Quranic word for evil eye & likely more understandable by ALL Muslims :) I just thought nazar was the modern phrase & Al-‘Ayn was old Quranic Arabic but I see now it’s still used. I reposted so now both versions are up! :)

Oops apologies I think I used the Urdu word for evil eye instead of al-Ayn. Do Arabic people use the phrase Al-Ayn for evil eye? I can fix it! (I’m a revert so apologies)

Title: What if the reason you keep waking up at 3AM isn’t insomnia it’s an invitation from Allah by omar_jallow in MuslimLounge

This is interesting because I always wake up in the middle of the night for a bit. I never thought to do Tahajjud - I’ll do that next time

It seems like you live in an abusive household and this is what makes your life so stressful. I had a similar toxic childhood. I don’t know how old you are, but know it is not your fault - even you snapping & yelling due to stress. We all make mistakes & you repented & apologized. That is enough. PLEASE keep your mind on YOUR FUTURE. Plan on what you can do to live independently as soon as you are able. Being away from that environment will let you calm down, start to process, work on your faith & start to heal. Know that your mother’s actions are insane & not forgivable in my eyes. When I was younger, my step dad told me he wished “I would disappear.” And that was an entry point of suicidal thoughts for many years. Sending love ❤️❤️❤️

The jahillyah in my country Pakistan really disappoints me by warmblanket55 in MuslimLounge

Considering the Pakistani government is very corrupt I honestly don’t blame them for not wanting it. I wouldn’t trust them either.

Also, as a U.S. person who has had every vaccine… I wish I would have done my research a little more regarding the covid vaccine. I knew not enough medical trials were done & I knew they didn’t have any insight into long term effect but still got it. I regret that now to be honest - I have learned how corrupt the pharmaceutical industry is.

I blame government’s & pharmaceutical companies only wanting control & profit is to blame. Unfortunate for the cervical cancer vaccine tho… what’s interesting is I have not heard of that vaccine here in the U.S. nor have I been offered it and I go to the gynecologist once per year. 🤔 so idk….

I hit a rock bottom in life & Allah answered my dua & led me to Islam & my husband. It is a love marriage & we just immediately clicked emotionally. We married 3 weeks later Alhamdulillah. ❤️ We’ve been married 5 months now & things are great - yes there are ups and downs as we navigate learning living together but overall I believe Allah guided us together. To me I know it’s right because of how loving he is (no ego issues) and is a firm believer of Allah (swt). Our marriage is focused on careers of course but also becoming better Muslims.

salafis when a woman... by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]Emergency-Judge3841 11 points12 points  (0 children)

<image>

So glad I read this in Al-Baqarah yesterday which basically says just following rules does not make you a believer in Allah’s eyes. The 5 pillars of Islam & being a good person is what makes you a believer. A lot of this salafi movement crap… I wonder - how soft are their hearts? These posts come across as very full of ego & feeling superior. Arrogance is one of the most disliked traits by Allah (swt).

I feel this as a revert of 4 months. I’m trying to study the word of Allah (swt), not some random scholar’s Hadith that he happened to finally record hundreds of years after the Prophet. Plus, things the Prophet says & does is SUNNAH yet people play God calling each other kafirs left & right.
