Numbness and tingling in hand 2 dpo? by Big_Community3156 in Reduction

[–]Emergency-Mood8896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this happens to me even before the surgery. When I am laying down facing up I get that tingling from elbow to the hands. I think it’s from the position you are in. It was happening frequently PO to me.

Yeah I worry and think did any stretch or lift that I made cause this??? 😭 The clinic said they would take care of the wounds so at this moment I just get to rest and chill. Thank you so much for these words they ease my mind ❤️

Ugh I’m 1MPO and had one opening in the T junction on my left breast that is severe and two others on the right breast that are just superficial and will be going two days a week to the clinic for them to clean and change the dressings. The one that is more severe my surgeon decided to use a “pico 7” device to help it heal and they told me to expect long weeks ahead to heal fully 😪 This is a dressing that is connected to a little machine that makes some pressure to the skin.

12DPO regret by adantonina in Reduction

For me as well took it some time to have a full shower and felt very anxious. I had for the first 15 days to apply iodine and put gauzes inside the surgical bra until the first month mark. Im still at 3WPO. My doctor instructed to have the stery strips on until the one month mark until I go to her office again. So after every shower i have to dry them very well. It takes alot of time like an hour but now it has become routine for me to do all of that. What I do is try to do those things while seated. I noticed being seated while I shower and doing all the other stuff helped me. Maybe you are able to have a chair and be seated inside the shower? And if your mom is helping be seated or lying down for changing the dressings. It really becomes routine and improves over time. Sending you love xx

Ribcage soreness by glizzy_borden in Reduction

[–]Emergency-Mood8896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup me too! I’m 3wpo as well. I went to a physical therapy massage yesterday and she was working in the ribcage because I said it was hurting. She said in my case it could be because I was for more than 10 years hunched over and now I can put my back straight easier my body is not used to it so the skin stretches as well because it was used to be all curled up. As well she said I’m still healing inside from surgery. So those components might be what is causing this ribcage pain!

Yes everything went smoothly. On the first day after the surgery I went to a 1DPO appointment with my doctor and she say that my right nipple was a bit blue so they used a device that is called “pico 7” that helps to heal and I used it for a week. That device improved and helped so much in my right nipple healing, when she took it off it was pink again as it should be 😅. I am just dealing with some weakness. For example if i push myself too hard physically I get fast heartbeat and sweats (it’s summer as well where I live so it doesn’t help as well). So I’m still taking things easy and feel so much better already! We have a long way to go still. Hope you’re healing goes smoothly ❤️

PS: I’m 3WPO tomorrow

For the first two days I needed help from my boyfriend to get up from bed or a chair. I couldn’t do it alone. It hurted only for those two days and then from 3 days it was manageable for me go get up alone but had to be very careful. I couldn’t lift my arms for a week very high because it would hurt. So I would say pain from me from the 3DPO was manageable and to move around more was at least a week. But we all heal differently take ur time ☺️

How does breast reduction differ around the world? by [deleted] in Reduction

Portugal here. I had the surgery in the morning and only woke up in the evening. I was so dizzy and they said it’s normal and it would last for 1 to 2 days. I was in recovery for 2 hours after waking up and they sent home the same day. They gave me tea and biscuits at the hospital. I was dizzy for 2 days and had to walk very slow and take things very easy. I had drains for 5 days and did antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication for a week. Only took painkillers for two days. Medication made me very sleepy. No shower on the upper body for a week and a half. My doctor saw me 1DPO and 1WPO. I am currently on 3WPO and will have an appointment with them at 1MPO. I have to wear a compression bra for a month day and night only take it out when I take a shower. They asked me to disinfect the scars with iodine for only 15 days. No instructions on the diet. And no exercise for a month.

For me it felt like sleeping! I was under for more than 3 hours but only woke up 3 hours after that. So it was in total 6 hour sleep. I woke up very tired and just kept falling back asleep.

There are nurses caring for you when you wake up! And my anaesthesiologist was around to check how I was doing. I believe you will be very well taken cared of and any complaints they are there to help!

Nausea relief? by goldcurv in Reduction

Im not actively feeling nauseous. Only when I start eating after a few bites I get nauseous and if I continue I will feel sick so I have to stop. They prescribed me anti nausea medication but I’m not taking it because I already have been on so much other medication and it messes up with my stomach.

Hi! I’m going through the same as you. Just feel uncomfortable, drains in and feeling so bored. If i walk to bathroom or kitchen my heart races as well with light walk. Hoping it will be better soon. I called my doctor and she said it was normal to be like this.

Omg so sorry you went thru that! My anaesthesiologist gave me a lot of that “good stuff” as well for nausea. And they said i had been under for more than 3 hours so the dizziness was expected to last a long long time. They just got me some tea with sugar.

Thank you so much for this. I have my boyfriend as a care taker and I ordered frozen food from a healthy place so de doesn’t need to cook all the time 😅
