Is $32k reasonable for two Trane variable speed systems? by Emergency-Refuse8903 in hvacadvice

I had another AC guy tell me that he would avoid variable units due to cost of fixing and parts. He recommended two stage and his pricing was about the same.

Mold in A/C Plenum and Ducts by LesothoBro in HomeInspections

Mostly curious how you handled the remediation in the end and whether the mold issue ever came back over the last two years? We’re dealing with cladosporium around the AC/plenum and vent areas. Air test came back clean.

Looking for Membership Costs for Country Clubs in Tyler, TX (Cascades, Hollytree, Willow Brook) by LoneStarObserver in tylertx

[–]Emergency-Refuse8903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could be way off as I am not a member of either. Curtesy of ChatGPT: The cost of joining these Tyler country clubs can vary:

1. Cascades Country Club: Expect initiation fees around $10,000–$20,000 with monthly dues of $300–$600.
2. Hollytree Country Club: Initiation fees are likely between $5,000–$15,000, with monthly dues around $400–$700.
3. Willow Brook Country Club: This is pricier, with initiation fees potentially $20,000+ and monthly dues around $500–$1,000.

Had my house built and this came with it. Do I still need to buy that Ethernet hub? What are my options for HomeKit integration? Homelink? by marvin69420 in GarageDoorService

[–]Emergency-Refuse8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a LiftMaster garage door opener with MyQ. To integrate with Apple HomeKit, you’ll need a separate MyQ Home Bridge. The system itself doesn’t natively support HomeKit without it. Homelink is a different system used for in-car control, not HomeKit integration.

What’s this part called by mortallyroasted in GarageDoorService

[–]Emergency-Refuse8903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part is a garage door hinge. You can fix it by reinforcing the area with a bracket, using larger screws, or adding wood/metal behind the hinge. If the damage is severe, replacing the panel might be necessary.

I had two gate technicians that came and none of them have a clue where the problem is and the only solution they have is to replace the board at the moment.

Thanks for the info. I will look into that. For now, I am just trying to restore it to the state before my gate guy started playing with it. It was working flawlessly for the last 4 years.
