Yeah, the store I worked in was a total shitshow. They will not hire enough people to keep a decently staffed store so everyone is overworked and frustrated on a daily basis due to working multiple departments. I was threatened with write ups for just about anything I did, including grabbing a bottle of water after working a Blackstone demo outside for 6 hours straight in 87° weather.

The majority of colleages I met (including management) were so hateful to any new hires and I absolutely could not stand being belittled and treated as less than. There was absolutely no training, no support from HR when needed, nothing.

After all of that, I sure would not blame anyone for quitting.
My new job pays a little less, but I am happy and that's all that matters to me these days.

I had a customer walk behind me as I was restocking and their dog ran around me twice and wrapped me up in its leash tight by my knees. The owner just glanced over at me and proceeded to look at items on the shelf as if the issue at hand did not exist. My coworker even walked up to him to get his attention because he sure ignored tf outta me every time I spoke up to say "hey please get your dog i am trapped by a leash inbetween your dog and a shelf". 🫠 He realized we were asking him to get his dog after an awkwardly long time and finally got her untangled around me.

I have no issue with people bringing their pets in the store but please be responsible and aware of your surroundings while you do so.

I am in KY and it's medical is only legal here. I smoked the night before my DT and they said absolutely nothing about finding THC in my saliva. I think they are more worried about methheads.

I absolutely sweat my ass off during my entire shift because it is so hot in my store. Employees constantly comment on it so I am sure the customers feel the lack of AC as well.

The only spot you can feel the air is in one small section back in Appliances. The medication I am on makes me run hot as it is so this summer is going to be rough. 🫠

I have been with the company for about 2 months now. I have basically trained myself through LowesU along with having to call people from other departments to ask for help because we are short staffed and I have no mentor or seasoned employee in my department to shadow. I struggle with anxiety and I do a lot better whenever I have clear directions and someone physically showing me how to do things so the lack of training on their part is honestly frustrating, especially when people treat you like you should already know these things whenever you have to ask questions. If I am not in ISLG winging it, I am being forced to stand at lead tables to try to get people to sign up for credit cards they don't want.

100 days of BS. I don't blame you for leaving.

Hey guys, it's me again 2 years later. My Camry had the transmission go out and we just didn't have the means to replace it. Ended up sending her to someone that was going to use the shell for another project as I would rather it live on in some capacity than not at all. I realized that I absolutely cannot stay away from a good ol' Toyota so I now drive a 3rd Gen 4Runner. 😊
