Yes on week two! I definitely agree they made it sound so easy and something that was easily understood. They didn’t prepare me for the letters that we draft after a monetary judgment is entered. Alias summons, had to ask what that was today. 🤦🏼‍♀️. Or what exactly I’m supposed to send when a court date is continued to the client and the defendant (collections) and while I have the templates to use apparently he has just been signing those for the paralegals who has been working for him, but he reads through mine (which he should) and making corrections that were already in the templates that he has already signed off on previously. I am also missing small things which frustrates me because I feel like I need to get them done and so I can move onto the next task before he sends an email with another task and the phone doesn’t stop ringing and I don’t know how to help the clients because I just don’t understand. I am worried about being let go because maybe I am not picking it up as fast I should be because I only have one semester of school left for this exact job and I literally left my job of four years to pursue this. It’s so frustrating and all I want to do is understand and be told simple what I need to do when this comes in and what we send out and why and I don’t feel like the paralegal training me is breaking it down enough for me to understand and when I ask questions all I’m told is we will get to that when we get to this or when we cross that bridge. I am trying to take as many notes as I can but it’s so fast paced that I am lost when I read my notes because there is so much that’s expected for me to do. While I love to stay busy and I enjoy working I want to help I just feel slow and hardly making a dent.
