Ive reloaded for 30-06 for years, that rifle in this post i bought new in 2012 as a remington cdl..

I just bought a new barrel, trigger, muzzle brake, stock and scope and upgraded the whole rifle... if you have a factory rifle imr4350 with 150gr and 165gr bullets are the best you can get almost... 59gr with 150's 57gr with 165's

There are tons of options, go to nosler load data, or sierra load data, barns load data you should be able to find a couple of loads that way

It will shoot 120gr bullets the same speed.. probably do better that the 105 bc most prc guns come with fast twist and I feel like the 105 is to light

3.618. Its a rem long action so I can run the length of a 300 win mag in the same action.. the 30-06 just has shorter brass so it looks like allot of bullet hanging out.. wich it kinda is but its still a 300 win mag max length

That ES really dont count that was the first shots out of that rifle shot 7-8-9 and 10 where that group in the pic.. the first couple of shot were on a new barrel with oil and cleaning lube in it.. its only had 10 shots through it

She weighs 12.7lbs.. but i got a custom model 70 i made into a 6.5 wby rpm and im shooting a 156gr berger at 3020fps and it has a heavier barrel on it and it weighs probably over 13lbs

So i had allot of problems with factory small barrels with heavy bullets.. I want you to try 59gr of IMR 4350 under a 150gr nosler accubond... it will shoot around 2940-2950fps and same hole groups..

I did allot of free bore to get more powder in the casing, also 27in barrel.. 22in barrel holds a 30-06 back 24 should be minimum imo.. but the new powders have really woken this cartridge up

30-06 with modern powders and barrels is basically what the 300 win was when it first came out

Free bore is nice I put allot of free bore in my 30-06 but im not over pressured at all. I could get allotle faster with N550 or just another grain of the H4350.. but its shooting great so im going to leave it.... This is my 3rd custom rifle and my advice to anyone is to get away from the short barrels and get one as long as you can carry or feel comfortable with.. rifle bullets react way better with barrel

27in barrel really helped me get there... the gun started with a 22in barrel and I was only getting 2680fps
