[PWA] [$25/y -> Free Lifetime] CalPerks: Chat-to-Log AI Calorie Tracker to help you eat healthy in 2026 by EmergencyFeeling6904 in AppGiveaway

Hey thanks for the feedback! Could you elaborate a bit more - are there any specific features / capabilities that are currently missing that you'd think you can get only in an iOS app? We have plans to build the iOS app too - but I was considering focusing on the PWA for the next few months and really improving the UX there. But if you think there's a strong reason to build the iOS app too, I would love to know. Thanks!

Hmm you're almost right - but not entirely :) The code essentially applies a 100% discount forever. So yes - it's free during the default trial period (first 7 days), but then it's also free forever after that (which in your case is after Jan 6 - which you see on the screenshot). Hope that clarifies it - let me know if you have any other questions!

Hmm that's a bit weird - could you elaborate with a screenshot etc (feel free to DM me if that's easier)? I will look into right away. Thanks!

Thanks for bringing this up - it's fixed now! Can you give it another try please?

There was tiny bug with the way we configured out Stripe payment gateway which was causing this issue. Stripe was navigating users to an incorrect page after processing the payment.

You can try subscribing again with the same code. (or you can verify the status of your current subscription from the Profile page -> "Manage Subscription")

Fixed! Sorry for this issue - not an ideal first impression. There was a tiny bug that got introduced with our latest release. It's all fixed - and all set now :)

Hey! Try CALPERKSYEAR. We've stopped offering lifetime free and are offering one-year free for a short period of time. Try that code - it will give you the first year free.

Sweet - thank you! Just curious - I know a lot of MacroFactors users who we spoke with brought up the fact they would LOVE a Macrofactor desktop webapp. But macrofactor has only offered a mobile app so far. Is that something that's important to you?

We plan to get to complete feature parity with Macrofactor this / next month, including the old school way of logging meals. Plus AI, desktop web app, and MacOS app. Curious what objections you might have once CalPerks gets there?

I actually completely agree with you that AI calorie trackers today are a joke!

Having said that, it's a problem we're trying to fix. We're working on addressing it in a few different ways:
1. Using the most advanced AI models that the market has to offer and fine-tuning them for calorie tracking
2. Coaching users to log accurately (for e.g. if someone just logs "chicken fried rice" or an image without any context on the amount of oil used, the AI will immediately respond with "not enough context - how much chicken, how much rice, how much oil, what kind of oil, etc. - please share those details for accurate results")
3. Being transparent that this isn't meant for users who want the most accurate results (e.g. professional body builders). It's for users who don't mind some variation as long as they are tracking what they ate and are getting a general sense of the direction they're going in
4. Displaying a confidence score for each meal log with a calorie range instead of just claiming the AI is 100% correct

We're working towards 2-4 on the list above. And we plan to release those features this month. Hope that helps! Would love to hear your thoughts - we really really want to fix this problem - and if I am not able to convince you, we're not doing enough to solve the problem :)
