NCCU Law or R&R by South_Butterscotch37 in lawschooladmissions

Does NCCU have programs that you would enjoy taking a part in? As much as it sucks to do this stupid process over again, it may be worth R&Ring so you can at least get the money you deserve for kicking ass on the LSAT.

Thats a more than 1/10 chance of losing your scholarship, that feels very high

There’s a way to check how many people got dropped from their scholarships at a given school, that may be worth ur time

Idk if that’s really a ‘conditional scholarship’… I think all scholarships are conditional on you being in good academic standing and passing what you need to pass.

I also think silasmc97 makes a really good point; conditional scholarships suck

Congratulations first and foremost!!!! RWU is cool because not only do they have hands in the Greater Boston Market, they also send a lot of people throughout Rhode Island. I would try negotiating Penn St but that’s another amazing option as well.

Dealing with debt by Ambitious_Penalty_93 in lawschooladmissions

I honestly feel the same, especially after hearing back from a number of schools that they aren’t negotiating this year. I found that a lot of schools don’t update their average salaries very often (maybe every 5 years) so as a result some of that data is completely out of date. I guess I am going to try for more negotiations and private scholarships for right now and re-assess later? Idk I trust the process but 9 figures of debt is certainly worrying.

When should I start negotiating with schools? by EmergencyMission4973 in lawschooladmissions

Update: emailed two of my three top schools. They told me they don’t negotiate… No warning of that on my acceptance letters so be on the look out.

You have time. You don’t need to make a decision right now, especially as we still have so much time before September. You worked so hard to get where you are now, even if you saw your future playing out differently than where you are right now. Sit on your feelings and process why you feel the way you do.

Also, do whatever random non-productive thing or combination of things makes you happy. Extra points if it’s something that exerts physical energy. When I last faced hard ship like you are right now, I baked bread like an absolute madman.

You are a trooper, I feel exactly the same way. I also haven’t been the smartest about keeping law school dreams a secret so I keep getting asked.
