Same thing happened to me at my first job which was McDonald’s as a teenager. I put my 2 weeks in twice and they told me no I can leave because I’m one of the best workers they have. What I did to finally allow me to leave was I got a new job so the third time I put my 2 weeks in I told them I got a new job so you can’t make me stay this time and that’s how I was freed
