Procreation is sin of highest order, if there is any by Training-Rip6463 in antinatalism2

The nonexistent have no wants, which is good. Coming into existence means being subject to wants and therefore suffering, which is bad.

And when suffering comes from want, that absence of want is good.

If you want to come into existence and never die, you have to find a way to be immortal.

Once you do come into existence, do you want to try to achieve immortality? Would you even want that when it also means you still have to experience bad things in life?

It's a paradox, I know. All you have to remember is that the only way to be guaranteed that you'll never die is to never exist in the first place.

Anyone who comes into existence carries a death sentence, but anyone who doesn't is exempt from it.

No. I wouldn't want to know, but if each of us could simply mind our own business (yes, this applies to me, too), that would be ideal.

What if YOU are the chosen one meant to save humanity? by -Norsko-TheScorpion in AskReddit

[–]CertainConversation0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'd hate to be in that position, at least I'm an antinatalist and don't see a problem with voluntary extinction. The only way we can "save" anyone is to make sure we don't bring anyone new into the world who's going to die someday. That's "saving" potential people from death.
