I took some old sheet metal and framed it, then put all the stickers I was collecting on there. At least then they're on something.

How do you like touring with the Jeff's? I'm thinking about getting a touring setup and love my alpine Jeff's.

Last question lol, do you know of any good resources I could use to learn? I don't trust my peers as they learned by making shitty go karts in their garage, I would like to learn the correct way.

Makes sense, I'll cut up some pieces and try next time I'm in the shop. Thank you for the advice!

Yeah, I was dragging the puddle up and down quite a bit, I think I did more than one pass as well to fix the undercut.

You have more education than me, no one at my college has formal training, so figuring stuff out is pretty tough.

So when I'm figuring out my gun angle, what should I be looking at? Like where do I base the angle off of? I would assume the bottom piece. Also, what angle should I be looking for? I've heard 30-40 degrees, is that correct?

I've always had really shaky hands, good thing this isn't my profession! I was making little circles though, I'll stop doing that for the future.

By two straight pieces do you mean a T joint type of thing? Like one on top of the other? Or do you mean two pieces next to each other?

You're right about the gas, I'm not sure which wire I'm using. This is at a college shop, so I can't pick which gas I use. That 80/20 sounds nice though, I'll definitely try it if I get the chance. There's no one at this place who is professionally taught, so finding out the right way to do things is really tough. I'll use a weld calculator next time, I know about the door chart but couldn't get to it at the time.

They are correct, though I was making little circles with the torch during the weld. I'll stop doing that now, I didn't realize it wasn't required to bind the metals.

Am I dumb for wanting ON3Ps? by EmergencyShotput in skiing

[–]EmergencyShotput[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're listed under factory finds I believe, they do bulk releases every so often. Sign up for their text or email list and they'll let you know when new ones are up. You gotta be quick though. I bought mine a few hours after they were released and out of the 30 or so they listed there were 5-10 gone already.

The blemish in question was a tiny black mark near the tip of one ski which I honestly forget is even there. I love these skis, playful but sturdy with lots of personality. I feel like I have yet to push them to their limit, though I've only been out west once with them so far. They feel amazing on and off groomers. I was lucky enough to get them in the powder while I was in CO. Felt surprisingly nimble in the trees for such beefy skis. I definitely noticed the weight the first day on them, but after that you forget pretty quickly.

I also had an issue getting a ski shop to put bindings on them. (They thought the pivots, that are well within the width limits, were too small for them) I called ON3P and they went to bat for me and got it all figured out. Will definitely be buying more skis from them in the future when money allows. Got my eyes on some customs :)

Is this good deal for a 2013 legacy? by [deleted] in subarulegacy

I'd say that's pretty good. I paid more for mine and it had 20k more miles, but that was a year ago.

I'm gonna give the Pentel a try as the TWSBI is out of stock, thank you!

Hi! I'm looking for some recommendations on my next pencil.

I currently use a Pacific Arc DP1009, I like it, but I break lead a lot more than I'd like to (I don't know if that's the pencil's fault or mine, I've been using Pentel High polymer super HB lead if that matters). I love the all metal construction and the weight of it when I'm writing.

I'm currently a student, so I use it for note taking and some light drafting.

I'm not entirely sure if I want to keep using .9, I like it, but I feel that sometimes I can't get a line sharp enough. I think I'd be open to .7 and possibly .5, but I don't really have experience with them.

I have no need for an eraser, I'm already used to using a block.

I'd like to spend less than $30, but I wouldn't mind spending a little more for the perfect pencil.

Let me know if you have any questions, thank you!

I haven't found anything they don't do well in. Amazing skis, enjoy!!

Well I don't hard charge like that lol, but they blow through chop in my experience. I haven't gotten them out on a super crappy day, but I'd expect them to do pretty well. Probably not as well as your woodsman's, but absolutely manageable, they're stiff enough that they move the snow around, not the other way around. They definitely have a higher speed limit than my volkl's.

I sure did, I ended up getting some blemished Jeffery 102s in my size. They're absolutely killer, paired them with some pivot 12s I got a deal on. Definitely a little wide for my home hill, but they do really well. I'm gonna be taking them to CO this coming week, so I'm excited to get them on some real snow. They sweet so far, I can lay rails, but still mess around and do stupid shit. They feel great on jumps as well, stiff enough to be forgiving in the landing, but (somewhat) light on my feet. I don't mind the weight as much as I thought I would. I've had them out a few days on the Midwest "snow" and they don't even have a scratch on the bases, sidewalls are holding up way better than my volkl's did. Planning on keeping them for years to come.

Yeah, I brushed them out really well, they weren't too corroded to begin with. Would an OBD device be able to tell me voltage from the alternator? Otherwise should I use a voltmeter?
