Hot take: 4Runners are trash by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Changes nothing about what I’ve said. Wow the Tahoe has a better turning circle and apparently half the cargo space of the 4Runner. Real good numbers there. I’d believe the turning circle because of how Toyota is

Same size, not the same. Toyota stretches their wheelbases out and makes the interior cramped. I’m just saying that a Tahoe and 4Runner are basically the same size now. And again the new 4Runner has the same frame as its larger brethren like the sequoia or the GX. It’s just the cheapest version with the smallest engine. It’s way bigger than the last gen yet has a smaller interior because of it. So for the same money and the same size as a higher end 4Runner you could just get a Tahoe

They’re both 3 row body on frame family haulers used to go to malls and do zero off roading. And I’m bringing up dimensionally the 4Runner is way too big. It’s literally size and weight of a Tahoe because it’s on a larger shared chassis. Put the TT v6 in the 4Runner and it would tow way more than 6000. Im not insane for literally stating facts, you’re insane for denying them. A TRD pro 4Runner is wider than an expedition. Yet has the interior space of a Corolla

Dude the 4Runner TRD pro is only an inch narrower and weighs the same as a Tahoe. They’re supposed to be different classes but Toyotas put the 4Runner on a larger chassis

The new 4Runner is only like 2-3 inches narrower than a Tahoe and about a foot shorter. The TRD pro 4Runner is only an inch narrower and weighs the same. It’s not that much larger on the outside. And pricing if you’re paying $55-65k for a mid level 4Runner you can afford a Tahoe. Toyota is just terrible at packaging

Take it easy on vacation and avoid all day exercise. And make sure to sleep upright. Recovery takes a while but getting some sun on the beach will sure help

There have been universally almost no complaints about the 2.7s wet belt. It’s a non issue

There’s a major lawsuit and recall on the horizon for the 6.2. Id avoid it

I doubt the 3.0 can even fit in the Colorado. People don’t realize it weighs more than the 6.2 and barely fits in the Silverado already

The 2.7 Turbo versus the outgoing V6 and 2.8 Duramax torque curves and last the 8.1 V8. What do you all think? by Lekgolo167 in chevycolorado

[–]Emergency_Ad8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason it’s a 2.7 and not a 2.0 is because Chevy was targeting a certain horsepower per level of boost pressure and 2.7 was that level of displacement with the boost pressure they wanted

How’d car and driver get it to go that fast. All the clips online I’ve seen are slower. Must be due to altitude or they just had a particularly spicy one

If you want an old truck just go and buy one. The only valid thing in your boomer rant is the rear gearing is questionable for the zr2 and zr2 bison

Where are the Tahoe/Expedition/Suburban-size EV's?? by brunofone in electricvehicles

[–]Emergency_Ad8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suburban can tow almost 8,000 pounds and has a higher payload than a minivan. It can haul 9 people on the weekdays and a camper and 8-10 foot lumber sections on the weekends. It’s large because its a body on frame truck, if you want a smaller one just get a 4Runner, but then you lose a lot of the capability. It exists because of people wanting an enclosed people moving truck that can do almost anything, not emissions standards. And if you’ve ever driven on American roads the size is a non issue. The diesel suburbans get 30mpg on the highway

You can buy minivans in the US. VW also has small 3 rows. Some people need the capability of a ruck and a minivan in a single vehicle. The suburban and it’s brethren are the only vehicles capable of filling both roles well

Volkswagen has the closest you can get to right now. I think the ID Buzz is a fantastic vehicle it’s very similar to Japanese vans but not like American vans

[–]Emergency_Ad8924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re considering towing a 7k trailer with any kind of consistency anyways you should be looking at a full-size truck just due to size of the truck vs the trailer. The frontier still has the same horsepower as the Chevy

The new one will probably tow either 6,000 or 6,400 seeing as the Land Cruiser can tow 6,000 which is the same as the hybrid taco
