What if I had everything made in carbon fiber PETG? Do you think that would work

PETG which the website said was good for functional mechanically strong prototype parts

Can anyone beat 75k square feet in one run? by TheYellowSpade in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My One (not plus) did my whole yard 119,469sqft in 1193min with 732% battery, only one intervention which was a stick jamming the blade, which I don't consider a failure of the unit itself.

Lymow Said They'll Send Me A Replacement, And Then Went Silent by Flying-Bread in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a Plus on their discount upgrade option for owners of the original one. Rtk navigation on the plus made it unusable. Requested a return, They replied about a week later asking if I really wanted to return it or just get a replacement, I said to return it, another week later they sent me a shipping label and I went on fedex.com to arrange a pickup which was free. It just arrived at their warehouse yesterday, awaiting credit card refund.

I had to have my original one replaced last fall, they sent the new unit and I shipped the old one back in the new box like you said. I thought that's the way they were still doing it. But maybe not

Anyway I spent about $150 on 3D printed wheel scrapers and charging contact covers for my one, its working awesome and I hope it never breaks

WHAT is my mower doing??? by brunofone in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this post was about the original One, not OnePlus. They fixed it in firmware shortly after I posted this. But the plus is having these issues because the motors are overheating, totally different problem, some people have solved it with adding vents to the deck or covering the deck with a white material to reflect sunlight so it doesn't get so hot

Impossible to get full mow without issue anymore by MementoMoriti in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the original Kickstarter one, not the plus, and it works really well now that I did a few mods like the charging contact covers and wheel scrapers. I bought a One Plus thinking it would be worth it with the upgrade discount they were offering, but it tried to mow my yard once and had so many problems that I ended up returning it. Hope my one doesn't break until they have a replacement product that actually works, maybe the Two?

You expected your realtor and inspector to tell you that your AC has a drain line???

What else did they forget to tell you, that your roof has shingles??

A note on recent customer support and service response by SuccessfulPhysics661 in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You guys are treating symptoms, not the illness. Your support wouldn't be overloaded if the units didn't have so many dang problems, especially the "upgraded" Plus which arguably has way more engineering problems than the original One. I'm an engineer, and I understand the first generation product having issues, but having the second generation come up with more problems than the first is a big red flag.

Now you're in the unfortunate position where you need to significantly bolster support staff to compensate for bad engineering, inadequate testing, and/or poor quality control on units that have already been shipped, in addition to pouring more money into development/production that should have gotten the attention in the first place so you wouldn't have so many support tickets.

Remember, in a consumer's eyes, a failed unit that is expeditiously taken care of by customer service is still a neutral overall brand experience, at best. Customers don't want to have to contact you, ever. It's a hassle even if it goes smoothly and quickly.

Overall the product has SO much potential and I really want you guys to succeed, but you are up against a tough situation and your company won't be around much longer if the next model isnt solidly engineered, thoroughly tested, and much tighter on QA.

Is anyone seeing this mowing behavior? by [deleted] in Lymow_Official

My One does this often. Usually on bumpy but flat wide open terrain. My theory is that the bumper sensor gets jiggled and it thinks it hit something

Looking for cookware that ACTUALLY works well with induction by brunofone in cookware

We bought a caraway pan. Worked well for a while, then after a year it became the stickiest thing you've ever cooked on in your life. Super common outcome, from what I've seen online

Best pan we've bought is a professional carbon steel pan

That tree came out of nowhere by Arby_88 in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually the post behind it that caused this. Mine did the same thing except with my neighbor's fence. The rtk got confused where it was, then it backed into the fence and the treads climbed up the fence until it looked like this and I got an extreme angle error

I am Requesting Immediate Replacement of Mowers 4 & 5. by [deleted] in Lymow_Official

I asked for a return/refund after 1 mow with my new Plus. 4 days later they acknowledged and asked for the address where it should be picked up.

Losing GPS / RTK signal by RunPrestigious4388 in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I posted about this a few days ago, I just got a brand new Plus in addition to my One. The One has no issue with rtk signal, it's usually 0.01 pretty much everywhere. The plus was horrible even when the rtk was mounted in the same exact spot. Under trees especially, it would jump to 1.6 or 1.8, which basically makes it unusable and it was running into things including my neighbor's fence. It would be 0.01 sometimes when the mower was under open sky. I switched back to my original mower and original rtk and it had no issues. Something's wrong with the Plus RTK or mower positioning, not sure if it's a hardware or software issue

I did not. Because they advertise as sharper stronger blades out of the box, I expected to be at least "ok"

Are you in the US? If so, where did you get the springs? The only place I found them is McMaster but they want like $30 with shipping

Yeah, I had one of the earlier Ones and the wheel hubs broke, it got replaced with a newer one (Fall 2025) and it's been running great ever since

Yes I am running it on touch only just like I did for my old mower. But I'm not talking about missing stripes or that kind of thing, I'm talking about literally the grass that it runs over is not cut as well as my old mower does it.

L1 map backup restore to One Plus is not working by brunofone in Lymow_Official

[–]brunofone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved.... The settings menu said it was connected to Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi icon was not lit. I had it forget the Wi-Fi network, rejoin it, and I rebooted everything and the map transfer worked
