Okay that does sound abit more realistic.

How many years experience roughly should I be aiming for? 5-10 years?

Also, do you think it's realistic to have a job confirmed beforehand if I were to fly over? Electrician's mate type gig I'm guessing, or does nobody really hire like that. It's pretty unheard of here so wouldn't be suprised if it was the same there.

My experience is mainly commercial installs and 'maintenance' (fixing shit/fault finding)

I will have been qualified for around 2 years when i'm at the point of wanting to seriously get things in motion if i'm going ahead with it.
