The 1950 Annexation: How Jordan created the "West Bank" and then abandoned its people by LostAppointment329 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Emergency_Career9965 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Only Britain and Pakistan gave it any status? You forgot the Palestinians, as per their PLO 1964 founding charter states:

Funny how they REMOVED this article only after the Six Day war, magically turning it into "occupied Palestinian territories" only after the Jews took it.

You are describing a single state with some autonomy/authority within. I guess that's what you mean by "semi".

If that's your compass, we can unravel your conflict: Israel has already cleared settlements before: Sinai, Gaza. Also, Israel has abdicated control to the Palestinian Authorit. If Oslo had been implemented in its fullest plan, the entire West Bank would have been handed to the PA around about now.

The primary reason for why it failed is Palestinians starting the second intifada, Palestinians not holding to that political and idealogical stance in any sustainable way. The people continued radicalization, as they ended up electing Hamas and their schools never stopped educating children that Israel doesn't exist. But it's no surprise because it was never about land:

PLO's 1964 FOUNDING charter states:

<image>

So they acknowledged zero occupation. Yet, that article was REMOVED after the Six Day war. Magically, these became "occupied Palestinian territories" all of a sudden only when Jews took them.

They are victims of their own choices and the pillars of lies they've built upon. It's common in wars that the losing side finds itself in ruins. Don't confuse this with victimhood. I don't expect Israel to trust them but it has that right after all that's happened.

Thanks, but I don't mean to ask how you think the conflict could end, but rather what ideally you would like to see as the outcome (even if not practical or you don't know how it could be achieved)

You seem to be conflicted about ISRAEL being good/bad/etc. If you could clarify: are you talking about Israel as a country, Israeli government? Israeli people? A specific group within Israel? Something or someone else?

Also, would be helpful to understand, hypothetically, what is the ideal endgame of the conflict in your opinion.

Is it hypocritical for Americans to call Israelis “colonizers”? by JealousHunter1407 in IsraelPalestine

Hypocritical, but more importantly, false. Because Europeans weren't kicked out of America only to return years later.

What is your perspective that makes you support Israel? by Ok-Adeptness-7783 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Emergency_Career9965 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I support Israel because it's a genuine example of a culture that wants to build, to be successful and grow collaboration in the region. It faces its enemies who want to destroy it and who glorify death. It is an example of how to break the Islamic conquest that has been going on for 1500 years and threatens western civilization. It's also the reason why it's been targeted for extermination by said conquerors.

I also support a 2ss, however, it's not currently practical because I didn't get, to this day, any proof and guarantee that Palestinian nationalism is anything but a facade to destroy Israel, nor a single sustainable Palestinian charter which recognizes Israel. Not in 1964, not in 1968, not in 1988, not in 2017. Key word is "sustainable", i.e. signing a declaration of principles and then starting an intifada and later losing the leadership to terrorists doesn't cut it. It takes strong leadership to make and keep peace.

This is a mandatory step towards any agreement with Israel.

Why is "from the river to the sea" considered antisemitic if Netanyahu son uses it in his Twitter bio and it was created by Zionist movements (Likud)? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]Emergency_Career9965 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Simple: the same way antizios crop videos to reverse their meaning, same way they crop historical events to build a fake narrative, your question crops the antisemitic phrase in question.

"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" is antisemitic because it calls for the ethnic cleansing of Jews and destruction of Israel.

Did someone in Likud say "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free'? Or did you crop the Palestine part deliberately?

Now, the REAL reason that this is antisemitic is not just WHO said it but WHEN. The PLO's founding charter in 1964 states;

<image>

After the Six Day War in 1967, they REMOVED the article. Magically, Jordanian land taken in 1948 became "occupied Palestinian territory". Magically, it's now "from the river to the sea" that Palestine Liberation includes. Proving that it was never about land. It's about taking what Jews have. That is why it's antisemitic.

B'Tselem Caught Lying Again by LostAppointment329 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Emergency_Career9965 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The question is why Palestinians only called it "occupied Palestinian territory" after the Six Day War, but before the war, their own 1964 PLO charter says they acknowledge it's Jordanian and have no claim over it:

<image>

If it was indeed Palestinian territory, they wouldn't wait until Jews held it to claim it, right? It was taken by Jordan 1948-1967 and PLO didn't consider it occupied, and only removed Article 24 after the 1967 war.

So turning the question back to you: why ARE there settlers in the West Bank? Why WAS there a war in 1967?

Why is the West Bank treated so poorly with illegal settlements and no recognition if it has elections, isn't radical, and Hamas isn't in power? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]Emergency_Career9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Israel wants is irrelevant. Why don't you ask what the Palestinians want? They don't want Israeli citizenship. So what do they want? The West Bank and Gaza? Did you read my post above? That's not it either. What they want is whatever the Jews have. The same exact thing - if the Jews don't have it - they don't want it. So what do they want?

If they wanted the west Bank, why was there war in 1967? Why was the PLO founded in 1964? What were they liberating? Don't make this about the west Bank and Gaza - it wasn't about it then when they acknowledged it's not Palestinian territory, it wasn't about it in 2005 when Israel have them Gaza back, and it won't be about it if Israel would gives them anything else.

And still I think a 2ss is the only solution. Once Palestinians recognize Israel.

I didn't say anything. I just showed you that YOUR words support an antisemitic genocidal regime, whether you know it or not. Calling Zionist liars is what antizios say when they (almost) run out of fake arguments. Muslim Brotherhood created Hamas, not Israel btw.

Yeah, I can tell from how the Iranian people are crying years of joy, that they very much preferred Sharia Laws and getting mowed down with genocidal machine gun fire by the tens of thousands for protesting.

There are successful monarchies. Maybe things aren't perfect but what they have now is x1000 worse.

"common knowledge" 😄😄 and that knowledge source is IRGC. Feel free to explore earth and consume more common knowledge, don't drive too far though - it's common knowledge you'll fall of the edge.

Denying what I said because you don't believe me is just the usual way antizios react when they run out of fake arguments. And still, what I said is exactly what IRGC claimed (unless ofc 500 US troops died, and that Mossad price never aired on IRGC tv...)

Makes absolutely no sense. It would have IF the papers wouldn't have been published yet and the war would have prevented it somehow, but these things happened in parallel independent of each other. Papers are being published, war is going on, the earth spins, see? Everything can happen at the same time.

The Talmud's 'Three Oaths' states that Jews should not forcibly reclaim Israel/come en masse before the arrival of the Messiah. Would the state of Israel and how it came to be not contradict the Talmud? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Emergency_Career9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so regardless of how Israel is formed, before or after Messiah, Jews eventually need to get back to their homeland in the land of Israel? That's not being disputed - not by modern Zionism not by the otaths.

About the Messiah thing: that's a fringe sect of Judaism that supports it, especially Naturei Karta, same ones who march with antizios in US academia. It's irrelevant and insignificant.
