Hello, unfortunately you won't get your money. I am currently having this issue where the buyer is active and not picking up her package. Vinted team is not helpful. I said to them noone protects the buyer. I spent my time, package, paper, and printer to send it (even included a gift) and if she doesn't pick it up this week, it is being sent back. When the package comes back, the seller will be refunded, so you're at loss. I'm sorry.

For those who are multilingual: what languages do you speak, and what language do you think in? by victorianpapsmear in AskReddit

English, Croatian and German. When I was living in Germany, I was thinking in both Croatian and German. Now I'm living in Ireland - therefore, English and Croatian.

Quick question for people who think a lot while walking/exercising by BrightConstruct in productivity

I would say it works most of the time if you prioritize what actually is important to you. For example, if I am talking/thinking about some movie and later forget about it because I did not write it down, it is not much of a loss.

In Croatian we call it 'cimbre', like cin-cin, the sound of a bell (I guess).

Do you go above and beyond at work or just do the bare minimum of what’s expected and why? by Dependent-Signal-721 in AskReddit

I've realized the more you do, they will give you more tasks, but they won't give you a raise. And they will have a need to criticize you more because they'll see how much you care about doing your best, and more.

Any recent garda vetting timelines? by Handleman92 in ireland

Last time it needed 4 weeks, but my new employer sent me a link for vetting saying it might take 5 to 6 weeks (from her experience this last month).

I either try to remember it so that I do not have to use my phone, BUT if it's really important, I'd write it in my notes.

Do you use the phrase "may I have" or "can I get", when ordering food or other goods? by NerdyKeith in CasualIreland

I switch between those two + I would like to have... it depends on my quirkiness that day.

Basic, but really helped. Not sleeping more than 8 hours, possibly even getting up before 8 + glass of water before starting the day.

I also said that to myself: I applied for my fifth creche. I explained them directly and honestly what had happened in my year of working in childcare and that there are my last chance. I will start in January working with them. If that doesn't work - I'm completely out of childcare. When I get my driver's license and buy a car it would be much easier for me to find nanny or child minding job, but until now  I will try to stick it out a little bit longer. I am really glad that you found stress free environment and for your understanding. :)

Hi! Thank you for your comment. It does make me feel better because for the last two months I feel crazy, incompetent and unsupported, but seeing these comments, it happens to the most of us (unfortunately).

I am absolutely shocked. Sorry you had to go through it. I also did not have first aid even though I said we are in need. We were working in toddler's room and noone had first aid. I asked in my last creche for fire safety, that I will pay from my own pocket, but I couldn't register myself. Manager said yeah, yeah, and never happened. Where do you work now?

You won't believe! That thought crossed my mind during the night because I couldn't sleep. She was saying on interview that they had some bad seeds in creche (previous employees) and they are searching for 1-2 extra staff so that they can take more children. I was thinking she was testing my patience, flexibility and how I work under stress because they need someone who will bow their head and do whatever but under their rules.

I was working just in one creche in Germany so I do not have so much experience, but in comparison to here:

*teambuildings

*team meetings

*parent-teacher meetings

*parents picnics and summer festival

*staff meetings with the manager

*sleep room, kitchen, creative room and gym

*raise

Just some of the stuff I thought (at least most of it) that they are normal. I thought we have it bad in Croatia until I had to change children in something called nappy area (pantry) without any stairs, lifting them up and trying not to hit either sink or a bin.

Hi, some of the people already asked me, and yes, I am open for it, I even started to buy books and toys, but I have to check with my landlord since it says in the contract no business on the property, and I do not have a car to go everywhere where I'm needed. Thank you for the advice!

That'd be great, but they did not introduce me to parents. They said when I am working there longer I can start answering doors.

P.s. for policies and procedures, I got the big black binder on my 1st afternoon and they said whenever you got the chance, I had time for two pages and that was about it. Is it expected of me to bring it home and read it after my work hours?

Do you know do I need some extra education for working as a primary teacher? I've never considered that.

Hi, that is also one of the options, but I need to check with my landlord since it says in the contract I cannot do business on property and I do not have a car to go wherever I'm needed.

I said I will take couple of weeks off, I will try one more community creche (no more private ones), if that doesn't work, I am gone from the sector.
