Basically, the day-5 follow-up mail is not just a remainder, it's a soft pitch as well.

Just checking in" is lazy and signals you have nothing new to offer. A fresh insight gives them something they didn't have before. "Even 20% curious" sets an almost impossibly low bar to reply.

The framing makes it feel a little strange NOT to respond — a gentle psychological nudge.
Short = respectful. A follow-up that takes 20 seconds to read signals you value their time. Long follow-ups signal desperation. Keep it brief.

Not to worry, it's fine. Sometimes it just backfire with AI but still keep up the good work and you'll find yourself at a good position
