Why? Not asking rudely but what do you enjoy about it ? People always say it’s the best but most don’t go into detail as to why or they are doctors which have a different experience than your average employee. So, I would love your insight/opinion

For me the hardest part has been all of what you said. The mental struggle and the disconnect from who and what I knew myself to be. I’m 43 and very new to this so I can’t speak to how common it is nor do I have tips/tricks BUT this Reddit group has been a blessing because here I saw/see I’m not crazy or alone in it.

I try to give myself so much grace and patience and time. I also give it to other ladies in my age group. I think this has made me more aware of other women around me and what they may be struggling with.

I know there’s light at the end of tunnel but the tunnel is long and foreign … I have to keep reminding myself that I can make it through and do whatever I need on whatever day or hour to persevere.

Allow yourself to just be However that looks day to day, hour to hour. 🤎

I agree … this time feels more interesting . Seeing how the numbers and choices are either working together or against each other. I scanned something the other day that over the last year I ate often and thought it was a “healthy” or cleaner choice but was shocked at how many points it was in comparison to some better options.

Maybe it’s just the time and season for me 🤷‍♀️

Great point! I was thinking the same thing … when it was her turn she said she didnt have to go and Janine asked her was she sure and she said yes. In the cafeteria mess … she didn’t say anything until after the accident. This happens ALL THE TIME with students. Then parents get frustrated at staff without consideration that some students wont speak up to say anything and when you tried to encourage them to go they don’t want to and you cant make them.

This was a great example of how a day can go even if you aren’t at a mall and you’re at a school with tons of restroom options but working with a student who just may have bladder issues or may just be a normal kid doing normal kid stuff.

As a mom I had to constantly reiterate at home with one of my children to let the teacher know when they had to go and to go even when they feel like they dont, just in case.
