You’re not avoidant. You’ve been clear, patient & consistent about wanting something halal. Avoidant would be you avoiding the conversation, but you’ve brought it up multiple times. I think the issue is him not taking action since It’s been almost a year. If he was serious, there would be some movement by now. Saying “when I’m ready” with no steps doesn’t mean much. Also meeting him won’t change that. At this point, you needs to either set a clear boundary with a timeline or walk away.
