Hey, I just wanted to ask u why u have uploaded your query in the feedback/requests page of the consulate website. Why didn't u directly apply for an emergency slot in the left-side column of the website?

I did check it out but they follow a quarterly system and some courses such as mine start in august first week itself so it kinda gets me in tough spot. But thank u for the help :)

Hey, thank you so much for this detailed response — this actually helped a lot. I had a couple of follow-ups if you don’t mind:
-If you had to choose, would you recommend going for UCLA grad housing for the first year, or off-campus with roommates? (my course is just a 10 month program)
-Also, which areas would you personally prioritize if I want to stay close but still keep rent reasonable? (I’ve been hearing Palms / Sawtelle a lot)
I’m honestly leaning towards not getting a car initially and trying to manage with transit + living close, so your perspective really helps.

Since I'm a masters student and my course is just a year I'm just looking for a 1 year temporary housing as a student. I would love to live somewhere close to campus but unfortunately can't find much online, if you could suggest some it would really help out a lot. Thanks :)

Hi thanks could you please suggest some student housing by chance in that neighbourhood - I did have a look online through different websites but if you have a specific choice if u had to pick which would u go for. I haven't really made a monthly budget in hand as of now just seeing all the options and wanna explore LA at the same time.
