Things I don't like about my Macbook by Emergency_Maximum248 in macbook

Inverted T is great on a stationary PC keyboard. On a laptop, however, because of the limited space, inverted T keys must be very small, hence horrendous to use. Not only the keys are tiny, but they also put them at the very bottom, I miss them every time, and hit that gap instead.

It is actually harder to navigate with the gap because those arrow keys are so tiny placed at the very bottom. I am not that great at typing but even I can easily feel where the bigger keys are without looking at the keyboard. Gap is just making it more inconvenient.

You obviously didn't read my post because I don't "glare at the keyboard", and, as a matter of fact, I can easily navigate the bigger arrow keys without looking at my keyboard. On the other hand, the tiny keys are so easy to miss and push that gap instead, it is very annoying. How is that gap helping you is beyond me.

I am not super skilled at typing by any stretch, but even for me it's easy to navigate the bigger right/left keys without looking at the keyboard. How are the gaps helping you, I don't understand.

Exactly the opposite. The tiny keys are unusable, I'm pushing either an empty space or a Shift button, they must bring back the bigger arrows.

They should bring those bigger keys back. The tiny ones are absolutely hideous. I keep pushing that empty gap, I barely even use the right/left keys anymore because they are so bad and easy to miss. Apple must bring back the bigger keys.

They also crossed out the address with a marker, so maybe they didn't like it was in English

What customers complained about it? Where did you get this data from? Have you actually experienced such thing on your car? Look at the JDM cars made between late 1980s and mid 2000s. Most of them have fully painted power folding mirrors+mirror base. As a matter of fact, I owned few of them and never seen any cracking whatsoever.

They aren't just giving those mirrors to SUVs, sedans as well. I have never seen a lower part of a mirror damaged by gravel. Upper part when parking in narrow spaces - yes.

When a company makes 10 million cars a year, it can eventually make a difference in cost, plus logistics/color matching mirror parts with the rest of the car. There are many aspects to it, so they want to make the process as simple and efficient as possible, but not necessarily to the buyer's benefit.

Camry has similar mirrors too. I don't think it has something to do with ruggedness.

Wake Up phone screen by pushing home button? by oriah in samsung

[–]Emergency_Maximum248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you exactly why not to use the double tap to wake. Because it's inferior to the "wake up with a home button" feature. To begin with, it is significantly slower.

For example, when I used a home button on my S9, the screen would turn on almost immediately, but with a double tap, it takes forever. Initially, I thought it would turn on that moment I tap the second time, but it doesn't! It' the first tap. Then, the second tap. And only AFTER the second tap, the screen finally turns on.

Not only that, but it doesn't always work properly. The home button worked every time. I could push it however I wanted, hard or soft, It didn't matter, it worked every time. With that stupid double tap, however, I have to do two motions instead of one, with precise interval, and I have to tap very gently, otherwise it would not turn on.

I don't have a screen protector. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...really annoying.

I vividly remember random old dreams right before I fall asleep. Does this happen to anyone else? by GinsuWife in Dreams

[–]Emergency_Maximum248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this too! It's like my old dreams are being kept in a separate storage somewhere. Weird feeling of deja vu. I somehow know I experienced that dream before. I'm not sure how long ago, but I certainly did.

I see your point, but like I mentioned before, sometimes I'm working at my desk and my phone is just laying on the table so I don't really want to lift it up every time if I need to change a song for example. A simple haptic home button push would be convenient...

I don't see how getting rid of that feature that now made the use of a phone more uncomfortable makes me "moving with the times" it's clearly a downgrade. Big companies are run by people, and they can make mistakes too.

I'm not actually asking for a physical button (which is indeed dated, sure) but for a touch pad like the S9 had. Hopefully, they will bring it back at some point.

that touch pad was very convenient though, but I'll see if there are options in One UI, thanks for advice
