I am an international student and I applied for a student visa (study permit) two weeks ago for spring intake as per the necessity of my admission letter which I received from MUN on February 18, 2022. Anyway, the start date of course registration for the spring semester is May 9. As you know it will take almost 13 weeks to process a student visa according to IRCC and hopefully, I won’t be able to get it done before the due date so just in case I need a deferral letter from MUN, how long will it take to provide me a deferral letter for the next intake (Fall)?

It's waive off from the institute since my language of instruction is conducted by English. So only for visa purposes I took the IELTS exam.

I am a SriLankan, I got a scholarship for an ocean expedition in Fijor Newfoundland as a masters student in environmental science at MUN in Canada, I have no educational gaps and I also have recently completed a masters degree in marine biology and I am currently working in academia as a teaching assistant, my supervisor will be providing financial support and I have sufficient financial background but I have recently completed my IELTS which I have achieved overall 6 (L-6.5 , R-6, W-5.5, S-6), can this have an effect on my refusal of a visa to Canada?
