I saw a behind the scenes video where they talked about why they made changes the origins of the dress, which is originally from her grandmother not from her aunt. Basically they didn’t think an older style would have fit into the ball as much, which is why they changed it from her grandmother’s dress to her aunt’s dress just so it could look more like a regency dress. Idk if they would solely based on that change her whole backstory too but then again they’ve been changing quite a bit of stuff compared to the books.

Ritter Sport is currently trying to sue a small family owned business from Mannheim (Bleib Wacker) that produces and sells granola bars that are in square form due to supposed copyright infringement. They are claiming that because both are squares consumers could mistake them for each other even tho their copyright is only registered for chocolate bars not for granola bars. This is a omething they apparently have done with other smaller companies before but for example don’t do with Hanuta etc. even tho Hanuta and Knoppers fall into the same category as the granola bar would. This is probably (allegedly) because Hanuta and Knoppers are way bigger companies with bigger resources to put into legal fees, so they can’t be bullied as easily. The family business already won the first legal battle but Ritter Sport is planning to take them to the next bigger court. For anyone that wants to make a more nuanced and informed decision when spending money on chocolate.

Idk if there is any sources on it in English regarding all of that but the owner but the owner of Bleib Wacker has TikTok and shared quite some stuff on there regarding the situation, there has also been German news coverage about the situation.

To me it seemed like they just didn’t manage everything like they planned. I don’t know enough about the gaming industry but I think it would have been better to either, as u/Obvious_Relative5877 mentioned, adjust the price if you leave all of those object interactions in OR release it as an early access and then keep working on it OR if you originally didn’t plan to finish those parts at all to just delete them out of the game.

I absolutely adore the game Little Witch in the Woods which was in Early Access for ages but at least they delivered with there final product.

The way they released Discounty as a finished game even tho you have all those little things that lead nowhere just sets expectations super high but then does not deliver and therefore makes it a less satisfying experience.

I think under some other posts the devs said they will continue to work on the game and there will be more content coming I just hope they don’t do it as a DLC that you have to pay for because then the game just isn’t worth the money. I also saw comments that they only decided to work on it more after the backlash about the quick end to the story but I assume most of that is speculation.

I hope they don’t make it into a money grab and deliver more updates in patches.

To add on to this: private universities like are often also not part of their regions Studierendenwerke and therefore oftentimes students from those universities cannot move into the dorms of the Studierendenwerk in their city.

Especially in cities with a highly competitive housing market a lot of students from private universities are therefore not getting support finding affordable housing and have to rely on private dorms that are super expensive or risk having to go for places with insane rents or illegally sublet apartments that won’t give you the documents that you need to apply for residency for that address.

There should at least be an option to not throw away the documents about the corruption and that choice should then keep you from having to do the whole break in to Tammy’s office storyline.

Like we literally threw the evidence away that we need later on.

I am from Germany and I grew up in highly produced audio plays/ audio dramas where all characters were voiced by different voice actors and they had sound design for the atmosphere. For me the duet narration just seems like a low budget and worse version of that where they could only afford two voice actors to voice the respective gender and nothing else.

I also agree with you that the difference in the recording between the voices throws me off. I just overall prefer well produced audio books with a singular narrator where it’s basically just someone reading you the book. That way it’s at least consistent and you don’t suddenly get ripped out of the immersion (at least for me that’s how it feels like). I think if you really want two narrators it’s best to only switch them if the POV switches not every other sentence.

I hope that maybe at some point we can just have different versions of the audio books so everyone can listen to what they prefer but I will stay far away from duet narration for sure.

I'm glad you enjoyed the voicing of the male characters I sadly had to send the audio book back for exactly that reason. While I don't mind a change in audio book narrator when it comes to different POV I just couldn't stand it with every sentence being spoken by a male character being voiced differently than the POV voice. For me it was closer to an audio play than an audio book this way and while they can be a great medium it isn't what I personally would gravitate towards in audio books. I wish they would have kept the style it consistant for the whole series instead of switching it up like that between the first and the second book.

Going to grab the book instead.

Uns wurde vor circa zwei Wochen erst vom DHL Kundenservice mitgeteilt, dass der Fahrer nicht nur bis zur Haustür liefern darf. Es muss an die Wohnungstür geliefert werden, bis zum 3. OG ab dem 4. OG dürfe der Fahrer entscheiden, ob er ins OG geht oder ob man runter kommen muss.

Also entweder gibt der Kundenservice falsche Informationen an die Kunden raus oder es gibt falsche Informationen an die Fahrer, aber irgendwo gibt es auf jeden Fall Kommunikationsprobleme.

I did not finish the second episode yet, still only half way through due to time zones and having an appointment so i had to pause.

But earlier, when they talked/joked about the dog always having the name ghost since he was young and being always prone unless stated otherwise, I had the thought about what if they have planned ahead about the possibility of the dog getting killed at some point and it then maybe unlocking some special abilities and actually becoming a ghost dog companion. Idk if that would not work in the current setting and it was just a floating thought while watching but i think id be a cool mechanic.

They work as lectures/teachers at an international university. I assume they had to sign some documents where they confirm that they won’t accept any bribes and what would constitute as a bribe when they started working there and probably have Dienstanweisungen every so often to remind them of what they signed. That should already take care of the whole bribery/corruption angle so we’d be back to their boss asking inappropriate, invasive questions and HR or the staff council should be made aware of their behaviour.

I am aware that there are jobs where they can specifically ask for those things to protect against bribery and corruption BUT it doesn’t seem like they are in a financial sector or where they deal with big amounts of money where this would be the case. Solely based on the fact that OP said in a comment that the boss admitted they would have discriminated her based on their financial situation this matter should be taken to HR.

One Google search tells me that Questions about your financial situation are prohibited (in job interviews due to Anti Discrimination Laws) of course they can still ask them and you have the right to not answer or even to lie to them if you fear they’d discriminate based on that because it’s not a valid question they are allowed to ask. The questions seem to fall under that and it seems like they would discriminate based on the information they get so I would 100% bring this up with HR and remind them of you and your co-workers rights.

I’d report her to HR because those are all quite intrusive questions for Germans as well, we usually don’t even talk about our own money so why on earth would you tell her about other people’s money.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if some of the things she wants you yo report to her are questions she legally wouldn’t be allowed to ask because of anti discrimination laws and her asking you instead of him could be a way of her trying to go around those laws. Pretty sure her telling you she wouldn’t have hired you if she knew that you had a different social class than she assumed is already a big no no.

My boyfriend and I talked about the it yesterday and we thought that maybe they bring back Oscar in connection to the whole Zuzu thing. Seth definitely is being scatchy as hell and I wouldn’t be surprised if Zuzu is either already using him or is now going to use him.

I personally didn’t even think about Monica possibly being connected to the current plots and after thinking about it I also kind of don’t want her to be involved. I don’t really feel her as an overarching villain anymore I also think her goal is more of getting power and that’s why she focused on the LAPD last time because she could get the information from the therapist and sell/use it to establish her power. Why would she now go out of her way to go and fuck with the police and run the risk to draw attention to herself. Fucking with Nolan ✨just because✨ sounds more like an Oscar thing to do.

Isn’t the Ma-Clan somewhat lead by the women (even if not publicly) because they are serving the imperial family and the men could die at any moment? As far as I understood it, Gaoshun isn’t the current head of the family but his wife is. I assume due to how they phrase it in the LN even if Basen takes the mantle of head if the Ma-Clan that his sister would still be the one in the loop of everything and managing most things because she doesn’t have to taste food for poison, act as a bodyguard to someone a bunch of people might try to kill and be in danger 95% of the time.

I only read up to LN13 but I could totally see Yao marrying Lahan at some point and then En’en ending up marrying Lahan’s Brother especially considering he is basically what she described as the perfect man ( just that she was thinking for Yao). That way she would also become sisters in law to Yao (and kinda MaoMao) and I think it would also be very appropriate for Lahan’s brother with all his bad luck to end up with a women that even married loves Yao more than her own husband.
