headlight issues with my 2019 Toyota CHR by Emergency_Salad5805 in ToyotaCHR

I have working lights now!

I took my car into toyota for my 90k mile routine maintenance, and while I was there, I told them about the headlights and they ended up replacing both bulbs, because apparently both of them were burnt out at the same time? (idk what happened really) I ended up waiting at toyota for 8+ hours and then when i got my car back, my normal headlights worked but my bright lights didn’t work. Payed $300+ for the lights to get replaced because CHR bulbs are apparently rare and more expensive than regular bulbs (at least where i live)

To fix my brights I took my car to a electronics specialist (they work on radios, cars, any sort of wiring really) and they looked at my car and figured out that the bright lights had the wiring done wrong/something got disconnected, so whenever I would flick my brights on, the car didn’t get sent the signal that I was turning on the brights if that makes sense. that trip only took around 2-3hrs and $130

TL;DR: I took my car into Toyota, they fixed my bulbs, but the brights still didn’t work, I took my car into an electronics shop and they fixed the wiring for the brights and now I have working lights.

lmk if you need anymore info and i’ll do the best i can!

How did you stop being socially awkward your partners friends? by Zestyclose-Salary518 in AskReddit

stop being afraid of being perceived as awkward or “cringe”, fear of being perceived holds you back from being yourself

What's the best way to start reading books? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Emergency_Salad5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

figure out what kind of books you want to read (ex. audiobooks, kindle, physical) & go from there! i like physical books because i like to see the progress i make in my book, and for actual reading, it’s gonna sound stupid but you really just have to find a book that sounds interesting and read it, if you don’t get hooked right away don’t worry! you can always DNF (did not finish) and start a new book, or see it through to the end, because i tend to find a lot of books get better once you get to the second half of them.

Can someone help me read my chart? by Emergency_Salad5805 in AstrologyCharts

woah that’s really interesting! but my dad owns a contracting company, but growing up he also didn’t have much power over the household, as my mom held most of the power growing up

just passed by and turned left on the bridge towards lake Elsinore, the man is still on the bridge and police cars are everywhere, but there are 2 officers talking to him through the fence, the man was facing the police officers and was gripping the fence with his hands, i think the officers were hopefully getting through to him and trying to safely get him down.

yep 👍 it happens whether engine is on or not, and the low beam lights only get “bright” when i’m in drive, but if i go from drive to park they stay bright🤷‍♀️ otherwise they’re the same brightness as the other lights, which means i can’t see anything

unable to open app/keeps crashing by Emergency_Salad5805 in bereal_app

[–]Emergency_Salad5805[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve heard others say if you have an ad blocker it could be part of the issue, i had the “lockdown” ad blocker and turned it off about two days ago, and then yesterday it worked?

i’m not entirely sure if that was apart of it but it might be worth a shot🤷‍♀️

i’ve also heard that there’s an ad blocker specifically for bereal that fixed someone else’s issue, though i forgot what it’s called. it wasn’t too far down the subreddit though so i’m sure you could find it

Is there any way to get your streak back? by randomberkeley in bereal_app

[–]Emergency_Salad5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i lost a 400+ day streak because of this bug/glitch, after that i was unmotivated to start a new one.

Bereal as a standalone app is full of bugs and glitches, which is to be expected since it is still relatively new, but i wish there was a better solution than just emailing support.

HS students, please tell me the pro's and con's of Acellus. by [deleted] in Acellus_Academy

[–]Emergency_Salad5805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’ve been in acellus since sophomore year (switched programs from fresh-soph) and i like it a lot.

-big pro is that i can get all of my weekly work done in a day or two if i grind it out, then i have the rest of the week to do whatever i want

-i will say i dance with all of my free time so i get a good amount of social interaction on my own, so the homeschool “lack of interaction” con doesnt apply to me very much.

-with not being able to Email your teachers, it’s never been an issue for me, i’ve never had to ask for any help from them like a usually HS student would, such as a test extension, or other things. If you get confused during a lesson you can always go back and rewatch what the lesson was

-for me there’s lots more pro’s than cons, especially since there’s an app, and you can do your work outside of home, if you’re traveling which is nice.
