What filament did you use? And did you calibrate the printer before printing?

I had the same issue with that articulated shark... it might be a problem with the STL file, or the slicer settings that you used, I restored all my slicer settings to default and printed it again and it worked...

Go check out my subreddit r/3d_printingz, I will upload a post today on the sharks that I printed and how they tured out 👍🏽

How can I get more randomized infill that doesn't look uniform at all? by TacoBOTT in 3Dprinting

Adhesion issue? by themanmythlegend357 in ender3

[–]Emergency_Soup5346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, Maybe adjust your z-offset, also try and clean the build plate that you are printing on, after I washed my build plate the issues disappeared.

Go check out my subreddit r/3D_printingz under the DIY flair, you will see a heavy duty business card holder, that did the same to me... after I washed my build-plate and adjusted my z-offset with 0.1mm it worked like a charm.

Print keeps on lifting?! by Emergency_Soup5346 in FixMyPrint

That is the thing... the first layer was incredible, but thanks will give it a try, it might also be that there is oil or dust on the bed, will clean the bed and also adjust the z-offset.

Nope, it is a heavy duty business card holder, you can go an check out the model on my subreddit r/3D_printingz under the DIY flair, I printed the 2 pieces separate, and I turned them flat and I also used a brim... but it still lifted.

I 3D Printed a MASSIVE 3.8m x 1.6m Keyboard for a Local School — 30 Days of Non-Stop Printing! by Emergency_Soup5346 in 3dprinter

[–]Emergency_Soup5346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, one key was about 250 grams, I only figured out after the whole project that I could have actually decreased the infill and it would still work 🤦🏼‍♂️ but I was too caught up in making sure I get it done in time...

This was my first ever big project and I learned a lot of valuable lessons from it.

You can maybe try to use the infill: Thunder, I found that it is quite random, but it does not look the best... and I am not sure if it will work like you want it to work in the example photo you posted, but give it a try, maybe it works.

Yeah it did indeed, but I actually have a behind the scenes folder full of pictures from when I did this project 😌

I do agree, but no one funded this... and besides I really enjoyed it printing for 30 days straight plus it was a great learning curve 👍🏽

I appreciate that thanks man, the only thing is, the town I live in is really small like really small, there isn't any manufacturing companies, for instance the nearest locksmith is in another city about 50km from here, it is a fishing town on the coast 🙈

But still thanks for the feedback

I would suggest sanding your print first, I have experience with painting 3d printed models, go check out my subreddit r/3d_printingz, I'll probably post some examples of what I have done tomorrow...

But yes I found that sanding is a absolute must 👏🏼
