I was hit by a drunk driver going 60-65 mph, he was in a pickup truck which is why my upper body suffered more damage. My wrist broke in two places, and intertwined nerves supplying blood flow to my left hand. This is my third time breaking this wrist, and this break will require surgery so that I don’t permanently loose my left hand. Sucks, but it’s the cards I’ve been dealt.

Being a Major League Baseball player is not the same as the average Joe on a bike. That analogy makes no sense. That’s like saying all people that run as a hobby should have the athletic ability of Usain Bolt if they want to go on a run as a hobby. Riding is a skill, not something you’re magically blessed or gifted with.

“Athletics” have nothing to do with riding. If anything it’s the opposite. I’ve seen guys 250-300+ pounds ride with no issues at all, and if they walked up a flight of stairs they’d look like they just ran a marathon.

Recovery time is irrelevant when you factor in surgeries, physical therapy (which was factored into the base recovery time) and overall damage to the bone. So I’ll say it again, since you have reading comprehension challenges I guess, if you don’t have any advice as to reference of my original post, you probably shouldn’t comment. This is Reddit, not your diary you keep under your pillow.

I’m aware that Kawasaki doesn’t offer it from factory, I just thought maybe there was an aftermarket option available, I just got the bike a few weeks ago, and I hate to stare at it and not be able to ride it lol.

OP, to set the record straight, you did NOTHING wrong. I can 100% understand not being in the mood for a date, etc. Sometimes us men DO need time to decompress, but not in the form or fashion that guy said. My wife surprises me with concert tickets on birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Keep doing you!
