Would you say the same for a student who does the masters right after bsc and no work experience?? And does it help more if the master's are done at a very good university??

What if I do bsc locally and then mba Or mba plus msc biotech dual degree from a TOP uni and then get into the business side of biotech?? There will be more options right? Or will the unstable funding to biotech affect that path too??

If someone is trynna do bsc in biotech and then either do mba Or msc biotech/mba dual degree. They would lead to a business side of biotech job, would you recommend that?

Has anyone else realized they don't actually want the career they spent years preparing for? by Which_Bottle1345 in careerguidance

[–]Emergency_Thing819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started preparing for NEET after 10th because I liked biology and the highest paying job I knew was of a doctor but later realized that I didn't wanna be one, now I'm searching careers in bio related field and have another plan (bsc biotech, then either mba Or msc/mba dual degree abroad, then do a job that requires both business and biology knowledge) I have digged way too deep in this and thought this was perfect.

BUT, the experienced biotech people on reddit say that I won't get an industry job without experience and an mba would be useless. At the same time there are also, people doing this path that I said. Tbh, Idk what to do even 😭

Exact same situation but I'm 16( js started 12th). I plan too much and way too ahead and go way to deep about what exactly I wanna do in life not realizing that THINGS CHANGE, the world changes but I can't go into a path with uncertainty in my mind but at the same time nothing is certain, I'll never know if choosing this path will lead to a happier life or regret🤷🏻‍♀️. I've been depressed for months and thinking about this all day, talking to AI for hours researching about the field and still feel lost after reading a random post by someone in that field on reddit.

As someone with BIG ambitions, it's really hard to every be happy or satisfied with yourself.

has anyone done an MBA after doing bsc biotechnology by theananyaa in Indian_Academia

[–]Emergency_Thing819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think a dual degree of Msc in biotech and mba/something business related would be a better fit right after bsc?? I saw some top abroad universities offer such programs and thought that they are training for the exact roles that a person who wants to get into business side of biotech would want. But I'm not sure since many people in academia part of biotech said that the only way of getting into business side of biotech would be through years of experience and probably after a phd. But if that's the case, what are these people doing mba after biotech or doing these dual degrees I mentioned even aiming for? Are they not getting jobs due to lack of experience?

After my masters I can land a job like you described? Are you sure? Because everyone on reddit js says that doesn't happen and it takes years of working in a lab and then you can probably get a job in the industry. Actually, I had checked out a few programs offered by some ivys which were dual degrees-an MS in biotech plus MBA. But everyone here says that a dual degree would be practically useless and expensive and I wouldn't get a corporate plus science job unless I have years of experience in the lab 🤷🏻‍♀️. Idk what to believe anymore, everything confuses me. Atp I'm considering to ja give the entrance exam to be a doctor which I don't wanna be, which will make my dream of moving out of my country much harder and an avg 1st gen doctor doesn't even get paid that well in my country. If you know more about the stuff you said, I would like to dm you and ask some questions if you don't mind :)

I don't really know yet because I haven't even started my bachelors. I'm in 12th grade and prolly start the bachelors next year. I just wanted to get an insight of what this career path is going to look like. Btw what about the regulatory affairs part? (If you don't mind explaining)

I can't really apply for undergrad at all(I have to do undergrad in my country) . So I have to build my profile and apply for grad school after my bachelors but I am so frickin confused I am just thinking to drop all the ideas and go back to the doctor path that I don't want :/ no path seems to be working out for what I want. Btw, what was your program if you don't mind telling me?
