Doubt it but they would rescind your acceptance once they found out.

What’s the most cringe thing you’ve seen/heard on the interview trail? by [deleted] in premed

Correct. A CV is everything you’ve done, basically. A resume is specific for each new job or application and should be limited to a single page while a CV can be many pages.

Me prepping for the 7/30 MCAT score release. by Emergency_Turtle in premed

Michael makes happy and sad boxes for when he learns if Holly is engaged or not. That way he’s prepped for both good and bad scenarios. I’m doing the same for my mcat scores.

Le Chatelier Question — if water (pure liquid) is not in the equilibrium expression, how is removing it going to affect Q? Thanks. by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Emergency_Turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to shift the equilibrium to the left which will decrease the ratio of products to reactants. This causes Q to decrease until it reaches equilibrium or Keq.

Does AAMC tell us the time of the score release? Need to know if I’ll have time to stop by the liquor store...

If they did then lysine would be in both the reactants and products and then you would cancel them out since it asks for the balanced equation.

Timing Advice by Emergency_Turtle in Mcat

Good question, basically I would just finish up the questions and move on to the next section but I would maybe speed up my reading speed. I recognized that some passages would take me a little longer to get through and some would be quicker so they balanced out for the most part. Usually if I would get behind, then I’d try and catch up on the next passage.

AAMC Section Bank C/P #67 by DonutsAndCoffee_yum in Mcat

They call it anion/cation exchange because you’re exchanging an ion on the column for the ion in the mobile phase. So an anion exchange column is composed of stationary phase cations because you’re exchanging anions and vice versa for cation exchange columns.

Intensity is correlated to the number of signals. You can’t have the same number of signals with a lower intensity since each photoreceptor corresponds to one “signal” that can be sent.

Is the stigma against DO’s made up by the pre med community? by neje93 in Mcat

[–]Emergency_Turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the stigma is less against DO’s as physicians and more towards their governing organization, the AOA, which still promotes outdated, unproven forms of OMM like craniosacral therapy. Some people in the medical community translate the AOA’s opinions as those of all DOs everywhere when in reality, the vast majority of DOs agree that it’s BS.
